Our take on the Sennheiser CH 650 S

Make a strong connection with Sennheiser

Sennheiser has developed the ideal link between two of its best-sounding headphones and their high-performance headphone amplifiers. The CH 650 S is a high-quality balanced cable designed for the HD 650 and HD 600 headphones. Replace the stock cable with the CH 650 S and connect it to the Sennheiser HDVD 800 or HDVA 600 to open up a world of audiophile delights for your ears to revel in.

This cable's four-pole XLR plug preserves the symmetrical signal flow from your Sennheiser amp through two pairs of oxygen-free copper leads all the way to the independent left- and right-earcup connectors. This results in very precise signal transmission with almost no distortion, so you can maximize the sonic potential of your headphones and amplifier. You'll enjoy clean, wide-open sound with fine detail shining through and virtually no noise.

Balanced Sennheiser Cables

Written By Sai, Houston, TX on Monday, August 04, 2014
Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Balanced cables allow better sound reproduction in my home audio system. I expected similar improvements when I replaced the Sennheiser 650 stock cables with balanced cables. I was not disappointed. Keep in mind the stock cables were already doing a good job. The sound stage opened up noticeably in fact. This is hard to describe, but I would say the sound "warmed" up. Quite happy with the investment.
Pros:
Improves sound over stock cables which were already quite good.
Cons:
Pricey, but you get what you paid for!
