Finally A Keeper
Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)
I have gone through many open backed headphones from Sennheiser HD 558, 600 & 650, Beyerdynamic Tesla T90 and all open DT seies headphones as well as a few Grados and HiFImans. I was looking for a fun headphone, something that with a full sound but still with a smooth response. There was always something missing by either the music being too flat (no fun) or too much bass or highs that were too harsh and Grados with the overwhelming mid frequency. These are perfect, awesome full warm sound with nice tight bass and nice treble. The mids are also perfect. I just enjoy listening to music, no mixing or anything and these are awesome. Out of the box they were a little grainy in the high end and bass was a little loose and light but after about 150 hours, they are the best headphones I have owned. I use them with a Schiit Valhalla and they are a perfect match. With the Asgard 2 they were a little bright but the Valhalla made everything perfect.
Pros: Full sound, open soundstage
Cons: Feel a little flimsy
