Features

Overview: The Sennheiser PC 363D Pro PC gaming headset keeps you in the middle of the game with 7.1 Virtual Surround Sound. The included Dolby Pro Logic IIx adapter and sound drivers envelopes you with the sounds of your game. The headset's open, over-ear design and noise-canceling microphone allow you to clearly communicate with teammates or opponents. The PC 363D weighs just under 10 ounces, and is comfortable for hours of use.

Earcup Design: The PC 363D's over-ear headset features XXL velvet earcups for ultimate comfort. The open-acoustic design helps air circulate to make sure your headset stays cool for hours of continuous wear. Sennheiser's "Eargonomic" Acoustic Refinement design is the same as that of their high-end hi-fi headphones. The integrated rotary volume control, located on the right earcup, gives you easy and fast sound level adjustment at your fingertips.

Noise-canceling Microphone: The built-in noise-canceling microphone filters out background noise so you can hear instructions and game talk clearly. The mic has a wide frequency response (50-16kHz) and a high sensitivity rating (-38dBV). The microphone is on a 7" boom that can be rotated so you can position it as you like, or swing it up and out of the way when not using it. Raising the boom to the upright position automatically engages the microphone mute. The boom is flexible to allow you to adjust how close to your mouth you want the mic to be.

Connections: The PC 363D's 88" long main cable has dual 3.5mm plugs, one for the microphone and the other for the game audio. These plug directly into your PC's microphone and headphone outputs.

3D G4ME 1: The PC 363D comes with the 3D G4ME 1 USB adapter which enables the headset to produce 7.1 Virtual Surround Sound. The dual 3.5mm plugs connect to the adapter, and the adapter connects to your PC via USB. A USB extension is included if you need additional length. You must first install the driver software on the supplied CD-ROM into your PC. Using the slide switch on the adapter, you can switch between standard stereo audio to Surround Sound. The 3D G4ME 1 adapter has the following system requirements:

  • Operating System: Windows XP 32/64 bits with Service Pack 2 or above, Windows Vista 32/64 bits, and Windows 7 32/64 bits.
  • USB: USB 2.0 port
  • CPU: 1.8 GHz
  • Hard Disk: 50 MB available space
  • Memory: 1 GB or above
  • Drive: CD or DVD

Perfect Clarity

Written By PeterF, Hugo, MN on Saturday, April 12, 2014

The headset sound and mic quality is second to none. I use the headset for conference calls because I work from home and nobody complains about the sound quality. I've used cell phones with bluetooth and speaker and IP phones and every time, poor quality. So now I'm using it with Skype and it works perfectly. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because they don't have an android application. If you need a conference call solution, this is it.

Pros: Great sound quality Comfortable for short time frames

Cons: Over hours, it becomes uncomfortable, because my head gets hot wearing it and it's a little heavy.

3 Key Flaws

Written By Tech Writer, Redmond, WA on Tuesday, July 09, 2013

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Why only 3 stars? I bought the 363D because I've used Sennheiser HD530II headphones that work and sound great. I sometimes wear them for 4-6 hours at a stretch transcribing digitally recorded meetings. It was that level of comfort I was seeking because my company switched from physical desk phones to using MS Lync softphones. The only way my ears could survive up to 3 hours a day in conference calls is to use a headset. The company-issued headsets were uncomfortable, so I turned to Sennheiser. The PC 363D was top-rated by so many reviewers, I figured it was worth the price tag. The first key flaw is the padding under the arch over the top of the head comes to a slight point, which creates a pressure point after a short time. The second key flaw is the leather-like velvet covering around the ears. Some people like this; I found it too hot and sticky. The third key flaw was setup; my Win7 system didn't recognize the USB device occasionally. I nearly missed a conference call because the microphone wasn't being recognized, so no one could hear me. I had to dial in using my land-line to a conferencing bridge. That just frustrated me, which brought me back to the price tag. For the price, the experience should have been amazing. It wasn't. I sent the headset back.

Pros: Excellent sound, solid construction, braided wire, ear cups were large enough to accommodate even my ears!

Cons: Padding on top of head came to pressure point, velvet-leatherlike ear cups were too hot for me, price wasn't justified

I checked with an Advisor and they stated: No, they do not. But check out the Sennheiser X2, X320 and U320. Thanks! [ Krissy  Feb 24, 2014 ]  Staff
