Replace the cheap eabuds that came with your portable player with a high-quality pair, and discover more detail in your music. Or choose a set of full-sized 'phones for rocking out at home. Noise-canceling models use built-in microphones to pick up background sound and then cancel it out electronically. The PMX 70 Sport headphones from Sennheiser are rugged enough to handle your most active workouts and still deliver balanced, detailed sound from your MP3 player. The headphones feature an ergonomic behind-the-neck design that keeps them securely in place. And PMX 70s are both sweat-resistant and washable, so you can use them both in the gym and out. The unit stays in place during activity, but the earpieces are not adjustable, causing the bass response to be weak. All in all, I consider them to be fair. My wife likes them better than I do. She uses them more than I do. I rather the in-the-ear buds, because of the uncompromising sound quality (Shure). Was this review helpful? These sound as good if not better than those. They fit better than the last pair fit but it took at little getting use to because it was such a snug fit. Also, they don't actually rest on the back of my neck but they stick up a little bit which has caused me to bump them sometimes when I am lifting weights. One other thing that I think I prefered with my other headphones was the wire ran out of the back where as the Sennheiser PMX 70 Sport wire runs off of the left ear peice which it tends to snag my hand when I am running from time to time. All in all, a much better heaphone but it should be for twice the money. Was this review helpful? Yes | No 3 out of 5 Decent But suprisingly fragile Written By Chase, SC on Thursday, August 02, 2007 They sound decent for sporting the sennheiser logo, the highs are a little over emphasized and sounds a little tinny. My other complaint is that you have to carry around a Tupperware container with you if you want to put them in a bag, because of the way they are shaped, mine broke within the first 3 weeks, and i was very careful with them. If you don't mind too much treble or have an adjustable equalizer on you device i would go with the around ear sport ones, they stay on just as well, just as comfortable but don't break as easily. 5 out of 6 people found this helpful Was this review helpful? It rests comfortably over the ears and around the back of the neck. Even if you don't have a football player neck, these will work for you. They do not bounce up and down while running outside or on a treadmill. If you are a fan of the in-the-ear design and the way it blocks out all wind and exterior noise, then stick with those. These earphones do allow some exterior noise, but the bass response is healthy. I've used nothing but the in-ear designs with my MP3 players, but got tired of adjusting the earphone to sit properly in my ears. I run 4 to 5 miles almost daily and these earphones have yet to disappoint me after over a month of ownership. Since Crutchfield doesn't have a "4.5 out of 5 star" rating, I gave it a 4.0. No huge complaints from me; I recommend these earphones. But since you don't know me, that may not mean very much!! I like them and would buy another set. 84 out of 86 people found this helpful Was this review helpful?
