About the Sennheiser RS 160
Sennheiser's RS 160 wireless headphones let you enjoy rich, spacious sound without anchoring you to your sound system. The comfortable, cushioned earcups fit over your ears to seal out external noise. Advanced drivers accurately reproduce everything from a clear soprano voice to the heart-pumping beat of the latest R&B track. And with a wireless range of up to 60 feet, you can roam freely while you listen — make popcorn during TV commercials, look through a photo album in another room, or enjoy some music while your spouse sleeps soundly next to you.
Exceptionally "Kleer™" wireless technology
The RS 160s use Kleer wireless technology to deliver uncompressed stereo sound. Unlike other wireless technologies, Kleer delivers lossless, CD-quality digital audio, which means you won't be able to tell the difference between these headphones and your wired ones. Multi-receiver mode allows up to four people using Sennheiser Kleer headphones to listen to the same audio source, so you can easily share music, movies, or TV shows with your friends and family. (Add-on HDR 160 headsets available separately.)
Wireless freedom, at home or on the go
Wireless setup is easy. Just connect the compact transmitter to a spare headphone jack using the included cable. Then plug the transmitter into an AC power outlet or pop in a pair of "AA" batteries for portable use. Automatic tuning does the rest, pairing with the headphones for interference-free sound.

Features
Overview: The Sennheiser RS 160 combines wireless hi-fi audio quality with a truly versatile compact transmitter for listening at home, on-the-go, or at the office. This wireless headphone system consists of a pair of wireless headphones (HDR 160) and a compact transmitter (TX 160) which runs on AC or battery power to best accommodate your application. The RS 160 utilizes Kleer's uncompressed digital wireless audio transmission, offering a range of up to 60 feet, audiophile-grade sound and reception to four optional pairs of Sennheiser Kleer headphones. The Sennheiser RS 160 offers automatic, interference-free pairing between the headphone and transmitter.
Kleer Wireless Transmission Technology: The Sennheiser RS 160 headphone system features the digital wireless audio transmission technology from Kleer. Kleer technology transmits uncompressed audio over a robust 2.4 GHz digital link (2.4-2.8GHz), enabling you to enjoy your music without the hassle of cables. Kleer's uncompressed digital wireless transmission delivers CD-quality sound.
Note: Kleer technology will not interfere with wireless networks or other 2.4 GHz devices.
Wireless Headphones: The RS 160's wireless headphones utilize audiophile-level transducer systems with powerful neodymium magnets for clear and detailed audio reproduction. They provide a transparent and balance sound image with excellent bass response. Leatherette earpads and headband cushions provide a comfortable fit. The headphones receive their wireless stereo audio signal from the included transmitter. The wireless headphones are powered by two supplied rechargeable NiMH "AAA" batteries (for up to 24 hrs). You can connect the headphones to the included AC adapter via the charging Y-cable to recharge the batteries (approx. 16 hrs).
Portable Transmitter: The RS 160 employs a compact, portable transmitter which operates off of AC power and can also run on battery power. The transmitter connects to your television's or audio system's audio output and then transmits the audio signal wirelessly to the RS 160's wireless headphones. The transmitter comes supplied with an AC power adapter and can also function off of two "AA" batteries (sold separately) for up to 120 hours.
Note: The transmitter requires two "AA" NiMH rechargeable batteries (1.2V/1,300mAH) or two "AA" alkaline batteries (1.5V) for portable use.
Multi-Receiver Mode: Up to 4 Sennheiser Kleer headphones can be connected to one transmitter so 4 people can listen to the same sound source.
Note: Additional Kleer headphones sold separately.
Auto Power Off: If there is no signal from the transmitter for more than 5 minutes, the headphones automatically switch to standby mode. If the headphones are outside the transmission range or switched to off for more than 5 minutes, the transmitter automatically switches to standby mode.

Pretty easy setup, work as expected. The range is good for one room, no distortion. I had the RS130 system for years, working flawlessly, so when the need arose for a second set, went with Sennheiser, again.
