International travel has gotten more sophisticated over the years, but there's still not much worse than getting lost in an area where you don't speak the language. The Garmin nüvi 2475LT portable navigator gives you detailed maps of most of Europe and the U.S., along with most of Canada, Mexico, and several Caribbean islands, making it ideal for transatlantic travel for business and pleasure alike. It also offers Bluetooth® connectivity for hands-free calling with your compatible phone. And its free traffic-information service keeps track of congestion in metropolitan areas, so you'll always find the quickest, most efficient route.
Innovative Garmin Guidance 2.0
Garmin didn't get to be a leader in the navigation industry by resting on their laurels. The nüvi 2475LT incorporates Garmin Guidance 2.0, a feature set that offers convenience for everyday travel. You can find and select businesses right on the map screen without having to go through time-wasting menus. Worried about losing your car in the lot at the mall? The navigator will help find it when you're done shopping.
More helpful features
Speed limit displays with visual warnings on major roads in both the U.S. and Europe help keep you in check. You'll see photoReal junction views that provide easy-to-read and realistic representations of complicated interchanges including signs so you can approach upcoming maneuvers with confidence. You'll also find a photo viewer, "Where Am I?" emergency aid, audiobook player, trip planner, and other helpful Garmin features.
Garmin 3D Traffic
The nüvi 2475LT features free lifetime traffic updates using Garmin's 3D Traffic service, which incorporates data from active devices on the road, historical traffic patterns, and other factors like construction, concerts, and sporting events to give you a comprehensive look at congestion in most metropolitan areas. Best of all, you won't have to pay a penny more for this service over the life of your nüvi.
Travel the globe with confidence
Finding a destination is easy and intuitive, and Garmin gives you 8 million searchable listings for everything from food to attractions. Want to remember a special spot that's not listed among the points of interest? Upload your own custom spots for future travels. The 4.3" screen makes the 2475LT perfect for viewing on the road but not too big for your pocket, and you can view it in display or portrait orientation, depending on your needs.
Text-to-speech voice prompts say street names at turns, and Lane Assist helps point the way through tricky maneuvers. In select instances, the screen will split automatically to give you a photoReal view of the junction so you'll have a clear picture of the next turn. When it's time to leave the highway, the navigator can give you all the options near the exit whether you're seeking food, gas, or a bed for the night.

Who needs a portable navigator?
A portable navigator eliminates the issue of phone coverage. You don't use data, and you always have maps - even when your phone has no (or slow) service. The maps in a portable navigator are superior to your phone's maps, as are the turn-by-turn directions. Modern GPS navigators have larger screens than most phones, so it's easier to see the map at a glance. Navigators with 3D maps really help you orient yourself quickly in urban areas. If you've got a lead foot, most navigators can also warn you when you are exceeding the speed limit.
