The road is an adventure, but it doesn't have to become a headache — with Garmin's dezl 760LMT portable navigator on your dash, you'll enjoy unparalleled guidance and help for getting your load delivered. The 760LMT is designed for 18-wheelers and RVs, so it offers a 7" display that's easy to see clearly from far away. It also boasts a free traffic-info service so you'll know about congestion along your route, as well as four free map updates per year so you can stay current. Add some of Garmin's most advanced navigation features yet, including voice-activated guidance, and you'll find a better way to experience life on the road.
The dezl 760LMT's 7" high-resolution touch display shows you everything you need to know from the driver's seat. It offers road maps for the entire U.S. and Canada, plus much of Mexico. You'll get trademark Garmin guidance along the way, with text-to-speech voice prompts that say actual road names at turns. Garmin's new Advanced Lane Guidance feature offers regularly updated animations of the preferred lane to be in, not just when you're coming up on the next maneuver. Realistic views of complicated intersections make it easier to get through unfamiliar areas with your load intact.
You've got a lot on your hands in the rig, so Garmin made the 760LMT's main guidance functions voice-activated. Simply say the keyword, and you'll be able to find a nearby point of interest, establish a route, or locate a contact without touching the navigator.
The dezl 760LMT's built-in Bluetooth connectivity allows you to conduct phone calls hands-free with your compatible phone. You can keep in touch with friends and family without diverting your attention from the road ahead. Most points of interest in Garmin's database include the phone numbers, so you can call ahead to make reservations at hotels or check parking availability at truck stops.
Truck-specific points of interest include truck stops, food, rest areas, weigh stations, and clean beds along your route and at each upcoming exit. When looking for truck stops, you'll find a list of services offered for each one, including showers, truck scales and Wi-Fi®. The 760LMT also provides upcoming road info, such as sharp curves, bridge heights, and high wind areas. You'll also get a heads-up for steep grades so you can plan ahead for demanding ascents and descents.
The dezl 760LMT also provides specialized routing for truck-related restrictions on most roads in the lower 48 states and Canada. You can specify height, weight, length, width, and hazardous materials criteria, and the navigator will provide the best, safest route to your destination — RV owners can do the same. If you're entering an area with a different posted speed limit for trucks, you'll get an alert for that, too. And it's got an input for adding a rear-view camera so you can see what's going on behind you if you have to back up.
The 760LMT also tracks your fuel usage, HOS (hours of service), and mileage by state for IFTA purposes. It can even warn you if you're going to violate your HOS conditions. When you're off the road, you can easily export all your logs to your laptop or PC for efficient reporting and tracking of your trips.
The dezl 760LMT includes a FM-TMC traffic-info receiver which keeps you updated on potential delays in most metropolitan areas. The 760LMT can offer detailed information on the cause of the delay, and save you time by finding a quick way around the problem. You'll pay no subscription fees for the life of your navigator.
You can pair the dezl 760LMT with your Android™ smartphone to take advantage of Garmin's Smartphone Link app, which allows the two devices to share information, such as saved and recently found locations, where you parked, and your current destination. You can also subscribe to dynamic services from Garmin for more road-friendly content like weather reports and fuel prices for an additional fee.

Pros: Size graphics
Great product have now ordered 10 of these to give to rest of the workforce. Everybody loves them.
Not bad, but just registered 1/23/14. When I did that, it proceeded to upgrade/update. This took 13 hrs! Now, I'm on the interstate in Nebraska, & it tells me that all the bridges have a 10 ton wt limit. Sometimes says 40 ton limit, & my entered gross wt of 40 tons is too much. Definitely wasn't worth the upgade/date. Now I have to mute sound because of the warning tone every 3 seconds. Not only this ,but it's trying to route me on any road OTHER THAN THE INTERSTATE. Not going from Ne to L.A. on back rds. Trading back for Rand McNally. This sucks.
Pros: Much easier to enter addresses
Cons: Haven't discovered way to delete stops along route if change mind.
I bought this for my husband who is a truck driver. Before this he had a regular Tom Tom for automobiles and he was always upset that it was not setup to get you places on truck routes. All I ever heard all the time was a lot of cursing about how much he hated the thing. Now all I hear is fantastic things about how wonderful this Garmin is and how much he loves it. In all fairness there was nothing wrong with the Tom Tom it wasn't made for what it was being used for. Buying the correct tool for the job makes all the difference. It has way too many features to list out but it basically tells you everything a truck driver could ever want to know about the route you are traveling. Easily find all fuel stops, rest areas, weigh stations etc...Tells you when you are a changing into a different state, what the speed limit is at all times, it just is absolutely amazing. Best Christmas present I ever got him!!!!
Pros: Large screen is awesome, maps are updated for free, has done beautiful job of getting him everywhere on truck approved roads. Very easy to enter the location you are going to.
Cons: Setting up multiple stop trips it only tells miles remaining to end of entire trip and not to next stop.
If you had a previous Garmin and liked it, you'll love this. Better in a lot of little and big ways. The hands free voice command feature is worth the price of admission. Well implemented. Using Garmin's Smartphone link to send addresses to the Dezl 760 from your Smartphone is a bit clumsy, but it works. The jury is still out on the Smartphone Link Apps. Well intentioned, but not well integrated.
Pros: Big screen, voice command, POI customization, Smartphone link.
Cons: Bluetooth implementation is OK, but could be better. (Works well with Android phone, but confused by an iPad.) Icons for traffic, stop navigation, mute are large and take up a lot of screen real estate - should be "off" until you touch the screen.
New Dezl 760 arrived and still same issue. Called Garmin support they confirm that there is no fix for the slow graphics problem. Fot the price of this GPS I expect better graphic speed! Dezl 760 is getting returned and I will hold onto my Magellan 9055 until Garmin releases an updated 7" model.
This Garmin 760 GPS is replacing a Magellen 9055 which worked well just did not offer posted speed limits and custom POI. I have been using this Garmin 760 in a Minivan and the only issue that keeps it from getting 5 stars is the graphics lag. The map is slow to redraw the outer edges when I make a turn. The speed of the POI searches and recalculations are great just not the graphics speed. All other features are working and I have no other complaints. Garmin is sending me a replacement Dezl 760 and I hope it is has better graphics speed. I'll post update. Garmin has not released the hardware specs ie processor and RAM for this unit. I asked customer service what the hardware specs were and they would not give out the specs? Garmin what's the big secret ???
Pros: Easy touch screen Fast POI searches Garmin Customer Service Lots of features 8gb internal memory Easy quick disconnect from mount Good internal battery life
Cons: 7" display 5" view from video input Map lag on zoom out and quick turns
This is a first rate GPS with all the features you expect from Garmin. I use it an RV and have it on a semi permanent mount. It is large enough to see and control from the drivers seat. I have it plugged into the speaker system of the RV stereo which makes the volume plenty loud and easy to hear. The RV mode works well for our travels giving us stops for fuel as well as most other places of interest that we normally use. We also use it in the car with the automobile profile and it works as designed. We have not used the truck profile.
Pros: Large screen, loud volume speaker with the ability to be connected to an auxallry speaker, excellent points of interest database.
I love this new garmin. The challenge on LongIslandis staying off of all the parkways. With this new unit I programmed the height and length of my Ford Excursion with a ladder on top. Which is considered a commercial vehicle on the island. She has not tried to dump me onto a parkway at all. My only wish is that traffic was about more proactive. But that will come with time as more days is available. I love the seven inch screen too. It is much easier to read at a glance than my 3.5 inch that I had. Thank you Crutchfield. Good job on this one.
Pros: The screen size and the programmable vehicle dimensions.
Cons: I wish the speaker was louder for the Bluetooth telephone connection.

OTR (On The Road) Navigation: The Garmin dezl 760-LMT was designed by truckers for truckers, with features that are tailored to the OTR (On The Road) trucking industry.
Custom Truck Profiles: You can enter data about the rig you're driving (such as width, overall length, height, gross weight, maximum weight per axle, and number of trailers) or what you're hauling (hazardous materials like explosives, compressed gases, flammable liquids or solids, corrosives, etc.). Multiple truck profiles can be stored in the memory.
Note: Entering your vehicle profile does not guarantee that your vehicle's characteristics will be accounted for in all route suggestions. It is your responsibility to account for your vehicle's height, length, weight, and other relevant restrictions when driving.
Warning Icons: With your truck profile entered, the dezl 760-LMT will display warning icons along your route that affect your travel. Warnings include size/weight restrictions, hazmat restrictions, road conditions (grounding risk, lateral wind, narrow road, sharp curves, steep grades), and upcoming weigh stations.
Truck Speed Limits: Trucking speed limits appear if they are lower than the posted automotive speed limit, and you have the ability to correct the speed limit on the dezl 760-LMT so you have the most accurate data at all times.
NTTS Breakdown Directory: The NTTS (National Truck & Trailer Services) Breakdown Directory is pre-loaded into the unit. The dezl 760-LMT combines National Truck and Trailer Services (NTTS) Breakdown Directory POIs with Navteq trucking POIs to provide you the most comprehensive, trucking-specific POI list. You can search for truck-related points of interest, such as truck repair facilities, including those with 24-hour service.
Exit Services: The Exit Services function lets you search roadway exits for truck stops, food, lodging, rest areas, and weigh stations so you are never left guessing what is around the bend.
Note: Exit service information is only available on controlled-access roads, such as interstates or motorways.
IFTA Logging: You can use IFTA Logging to archive data needed for International Fuel Tax Agreement documentation, such as fuel-purchase data and miles driven.
Jurisdiction Summary: The jurisdiction summary lists data for each state or province in which your vehicle has operated during each quarter. The jurisdiction summary is only available in some areas.
Hours Of Service: You can use the Hours Of Service feature to record your working hours, which will help you comply with safety regulations. You can record the following hours of service.

You will need a composite-to-3.5mm video cable (sold separately). The camera output will appear whenever a video signal is present.
GPS High-Sensitivity Receiver: The Garmin dezl 760-LMT is equipped with a high-sensitivity WAAS-enabled GPS receiver which enables faster GPS performance. It must acquire a GPS (Global Positioning System) satellite signal in order to navigate.

Hello Chris; Yes, the Garmin Dezl will display a written breakdown of your route. The written route displays in a black/white environment. I'm a "senior" and have found the dezl easy to read, and easy to learn. [ CAROLYN Jun 20, 2014 ]
Hi Chris J., The Garmin 760LMT that I have is far better then the one in my 2013 Honda Accord. In fact I use it because it does much more then the Honda Nav. It is very user friendly when you want to find something. Hope this helps. Paul [ PAUL Jun 17, 2014 ]
Yes it does. It's manual thought it's not like Siri from apple maps that can animate the whole route. Side note. This unit is pricy but worth every cent. I'm a trucker and this unit helps me a lot. [ ERWIN E Jun 17, 2014 ]
