Every second counts

If you're going to invest the time in a running program, why not get the most out of your sweat and toil? Most experts and coaches agree that monitoring and recording your training time and miles is one of the keys to improving your performance and your health. Garmin's Forerunner 10 GPS running watch may be the perfect tool to meet your needs. The FR 10 doesn't record heart rate — you'll need to step up to the Forerunner 210 or better for that — but if you're just beginning your exercise program, or want a simple, no-frills watch, this watch may be just what you need.

All your workout info, right on your wrist

Track your miles, pace, and more

The 10's impressively accurate GPS receiver keeps careful track of your mileage and time, for real-time and post-training data on your pace. Forerunner10's virtual pacer keeps you at the speed you desire for your workout, and the auto lap feature tracks lap times when you're on a known circuit or running track.

Save and share your workouts

Need to look up your best time on the neighborhood 5-mile loop? Garmin's online training journal, Garmin Connect, will keep track. You can download all your workouts to Garmin Connect, so you'll have a record of what you've done. And you can share your workouts too, when you want to let all your friends know how much progress you're making in meeting your goals.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Great product. Lasts plenty long to get me through all my runs (I do half marathons).

Pros: - good battery life - love the color! - easy set up & operation - like that you can sync online

Cons: - the GPS feature occasionally takes an obscenely long time to load location. doesn't happen often, but is annoying when it does as I can't start my run when I want to.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Easy to use. I love it. I don't have to "measure" a course to know how many miles I run, just take off and let my GPS watch tell me when I reach my intended distance.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

This is a very lightweight watch, I love the band that "locks" very nice feature. The watch itself is so easy to use.....I have a stopwatch I was using to train and it was harder to use than this watch. Very accurate as well. I love that I can log my runs on the computer and this feature is also super easy to use. No wasted features on this watch. It does exactly everything I want for training.

Pros: Very easy to use

Cons: There is not a thing that I don't like about this watch.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I got this to track progress on my Trikke P12 carving scooter. I could not use a conventional bike computer because there is no place to mount the sensor. The unit works well and gives elapsed time and distance on the face or pace (not MPH) and calories. The calories are kind of a joke since there are no settings for weight, age, etc. And there is no HRM. The upload to Garmin for software and to map rides was a pain to set up. I do not use Garmin software since I prefer Topofusion, a more complete program. All in all, worth the money and you can't beat Crutchfield service.

Pros: works out of the box

Cons: Garmin software link was difficult for me to set up.
