Greetings Laura, and thank you for your question. Garmin uses their standard ball/socket type mounts on most all their portable GPS units. The their Friction mount is fully compatible with your Drive Smart 66

As long it has the Gramin socket mount in the back it will snap right in. I have a 55 and it does just fine..but I drive in a relaxed manner, when my girlfriend drives my '93 Tacoma in slides off the dash. It never happened to me once in 2 years, happens to her on every start and stop???!!!

I use mine in my '94 Tacoma that I bought new and it works really well. About once a week I have to slightly reposition it, but that may the fault of my detailer using Armor-All on the dash. - Good luck, Bill

Q
will this fit 2014 jeep wrangler?

nothing really to "fit" since it just sits anywhere on your dash. I love it since I can position it so I can readily see it and yet not interfere with my overall vision out the window. It's sort of like a 4 sided bean bag which holds the Garmin in place on the dash. So much better than something that attaches the Garmin to just one spot. Definitely worth a try.

I bought this friction mount and gave it to our daughter. She uses it in her 2016 Camry and has had no problems. It is basically a sand filled base with anti-slip underside.
mark  Jun 04, 2019
A
There's no "fit" involved, really, it's just a heavy base that sits on the dash. Should work in any vehicle.

Is the dash mount easy to install?

yes

A
There is almost nothing to "install" with this dash mount. The GPS "holder" snaps onto the ball, which allows the GPS to be positioned for viewing and the dash mount itself simply sits on the dash. The "feet" of the mount contain metal balls that prevent the mount from sliding on the dash itself. Nothing could be easier and it works!

There's really nothing to install! The mount is attached to a kind of heavy beanbag that keeps the navi unit from moving around on the dash. Just click the unit into the mount, drop the whole thing on the dash and off you go! Convenient in that you can easily drop the unit and mount in a center console or glove box to keep out of sight from prying eyes. Enjoy!

Yes! It just sits on dash. Have absolutely no trouble with it sliding off. Very satisfied with it.

Q
I have one for a 6 year old 4.3" screen NUVI. Will mine work with the larger 5" screen NUVI?
wayne  Dec 20, 2013
1 answer
A
You will want to contact an Advisor by phone or online chat to discuss compatibility with your current gear. They will be able to pull up your Nuvi and see if this will work with it. If it does not, then they will also be able to discuss other options with you.
