Just as advertised, easy connection works good. Only comment would be that they include some type of lanyard. Item is small and could be very easily lost or misplaced, since it remains separate from the GPS unit.

Overview: The Garmin tempe is a wireless temperature sensor that tracks ambient temperature and transmits data wirelessly to a compatible Garmin device (such as the Garmin Fenix GPS watch, sold separately). It attaches to your backpack, jacket, shoes, etc.

Radio Frequency Protocol: The Garmin tempe uses 2.4 GHZ ANT+ wireless communications protocol with a wireless range of up to 9.8'.

Water Resistance: The Garmin Temp wireless temperature sensor is water resistant to 32.9'.

User-Replaceable Battery: The Garmin tempe features a user-replaceable CR2032 3V "coin-type" lithium battery. The battery should last up to 1 year.

Operating temperature: From -4F to 140°F.
