This recordable dual-layer Blu-ray Disc — or BD-R — from Sony is great for storing high-definition video and large multimedia files. It can hold up to 50 gigabytes of information, the equivalent of ten regular DVDs. The BD-R has a transfer rate of up to 72 megabytes per second, and is compatible with 1X to 2X write speeds.
Note: These discs can only be used with Blu-ray Disc recorders.
