Most people only think about hands-free calling when they hear "Bluetooth," but Sony's taking it a step further with their MEX-BT3000P CD receiver. You can access your phonebook, stream music, or control your Pandora® Internet radio stations on your compatible Android or Blackberry phone.
When a call comes in on your phone, just press a button and talk to callers as if they're sitting next to you. The receiver's built-in microphone picks up your voice, as you hear your caller through your car's speakers. Making a call is easy too, since this receiver will store your phone book info. And when your phone is paired, you can control your Pandora® account from the receiver, without any wires cluttering up your console or dash.
More music options
The MEX-BT3000P plays all your store-bought or home-burned CDs, including discs packed with hours of digital music files. For other sources, plug into the front-panel auxiliary input — handy for connecting a game console or an iPod®. If you want some real radio variety, you can add a satellite radio tuner to enjoy the music, news, talk, and sports you'll find on SiriusXM stations.
Good sound included
Sony builds beefy capacitors into this receiver that help deliver extra-strong bass response, while a special processor limits distortion when you turn up the volume. You'll find a 3-band equalizer with eight preset EQ curves for adjusting the sound. Two pairs of preamp outputs make it easy to connect external amplifiers.
