Overview: The Sony CMT-BX5BT micro Hi-Fi component system features 30 watts of RMS power at 1kHz, two
bass-reflex enclosures with 3.9375" full-range drivers, a single-disc CD player,
built-in AM/FM tuner, auxiliary input and built-in Bluetooth.
Amplifier: The CMT-BX5BT features
a 12 watts RMS per channel amplifier at 120 to 10,000kHz in 6ohms with a 10%
total harmonic distortion.
Speakers: The micro Hi-Fi
component system uses to bass reflex speakers. Each speaker contains a 3.9375"
full-range 6-ohm driver. The bass reflex cabinet utilizes a tuned front port to
increase and extend bass response by releasing some of the energy created by the
inward movement of the woofer cone. The speakers have an attached 54" speaker
wire that connects to the spring-clip terminals on back of the main unit. There
is no mounting hardware attached to or supplied for the speaker.

Bluetooth Capability: The Sony CMT-BX5BT features built-in
Bluetooth (2.4GHz) technology and supports the Bluetooth standard version 2.0
and Profiles A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile) and AVRCP (Audio Video
Remote Control Profile). These Bluetooth profiles enable you to listen to music
from your Bluetooth mobile phone or Bluetooth audio device over a 2.4GHz
wireless connection. You can also control basic audio functions of your
Bluetooth enable device such a Play, Pause, Stop, Track Skip or Fast Forward and
Reverse. In addition, you can listen to music played on the CMT-BX5BT using a
pair of Bluetooth enabled headphones over the 2.4GHz wireless connection. Many
Bluetooth enabled headphones feature independent volume and playback controls
which you can use to operate the CMT-BX5BT. Bluetooth enabled devices should be
used within approximately 33 feet (unobstructed distance) of each this unit.
AM/FM Tuner: The CMT-BX5BT
contains a built-in digital Superheterodyne AM/FM tuner with 30 total presets
(10 AM, 20FM). The tuner provides easy, accurate, drift-free tuning for both AM
and FM bands.
CD Player: The Sony micro Hi-Fi
component system features an integrated front-loading single disc CD player. The
unit will playback CD, CD-R and CD-RW discs. The system will also play back MP3
files recorded onto a CD-R or CD-RW disc. MP3 files must conform to ISO9660
Level 1/2, Joilet or multisession format. The unit will recognize up to 255
folders, 511 total files and 8 folder levels.
Playback Options: The unit supports the following playback modes for
CD - Single Track Repeat, All Tracks Repeat, Random and Program. You can program
up to 25 tracks in your own specific order.
Auxiliary Input: The Sony
CMT-BX5BT is equipped with a front-panel 3.5mm stereo audio input for simple
plug-and-play integration with your portable digital music player or PC.
Headphone Output: The
micro-system also features a front-panel 3.5mm headphone output for connecting
an optional pair of headphones. The speakers automatically mute when you plug in
a set of headphones.
Dynamic Sound Generator (DSGX): This feature from Sony generates a more dynamic sound stage by boosting bass and
treble levels to a preset setting.
EQ: The CMT-BX5BT also features
independent Bass and Treble controls. You can adjust the Bass and Treble from -4
to +4 in 1dB increments.
Timer Events: The Sony
micro-system offers two timer functions - a Play and Sleep timer.
- Play Timer: The Play Timer
allows you to wake up to a CD or tuner at a preset time.
- Sleep Timer: The Sleep
Timer allows you to fall asleep to music. You can set the unit to turn off
automatically after 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, or 90 minutes. You can
also set the unit to turn off automatically after the last track is played
on your CD or 100 minutes.
Remote Control: In addition to
the system's controls on the main unit, the CMT-BX5BT also comes supplied with an
IR wireless remote control for easy operation.
