Mega Bass: At the push of a button on the front panel or remote, you can boost the bass frequencies by turning on the Mega Bass.

Music Menu: You can select one of three preset effects from the Music Menu. The effects include Rock, Pop, and Jazz, or you can cancel the effects by choosing the "Flat" option. These effects can be selected from the front panel or remote.

Sleep Timer: The sleep timer switches the system off after a specified amount of time. The sleep timer can be set to 0-90 minutes in 10 minute increments. Note: When you are using the Sleep Timer, the Daily Timer and Timer recording will not turn the system on until the Sleep Timer has turned the system off.

Daily Timer: You can use the daily timer as an alarm clock to wake up to a cassette, a CD or the radio. Once the timer is active, it will operate everyday at the set time. Note: When you are using the Sleep Timer, the Daily Timer will not operate until the Sleep Timer has turned the system off.

Timer-Recording: Once daily, you can record from a preset radio station to the cassette deck. The timer allows you to specify a start and stop time. Note: If the system is on at the preset time, the recording will not be made.

Power Saving Mode: Even while the power is off, the system consumes power to display the clock and stay responsive to commands from the remote. To reduce the amount of power consumed during standby, the Power Saving mode shuts off the display.

Tuner Features

Overview: This system has a digital AM/FM Tuner. You can store up to 30 station presets so that you always have easy access to your favorite stations without having to tune them in manually each time. The tuner has three tuning modes: Manual, Preset, and Auto (seek) tuning. Note: FM tuning is done in 0.1MHz steps and AM tuning is done in 9kHz or 10 kHz steps.

CD Features

Three-disc CD Changer: This system has a tray-loading, 3-disc CD changer. Although there is only one disc loading tray, there are independent disc eject buttons for each of the three discs. The elevator-style CD mechanism loads the discs into the proper internal slot based on the disc slot selected.

Disc Exchange: Although there is only a single tray, you can change two of the three discs while a third disc is playing.

CD Compatibility: This unit will play prerecorded CDs, CD-R's or CD-RW discs.

Program Play: Up to 25 tracks from any of the three discs can be programmed and played in any order.

Shuffle Play: You can play the tracks on a single disc or all discs in random order.

Repeat Play: You can select Repeat or Repeat 1. When Repeat is selected, the player repeats all the tracks on a single disc up to five times. When Repeat 1 is selected, the player repeats the current track.

Cassette Features

Auto-Reverse Cassette Deck: In addition to the tuner and 3-disc CD changer, this unit has a single auto-reverse cassette deck.

Tape Playback: You can playback a Type I (Normal), Type II (CrO2), or Type IV (Metal) tape.

Recording: Using a Type I (Normal) tape in the cassette deck, you can record from a CD, the radio, or a connected component.

CD Synchro Recording: This feature allows you to automatically record a CD to tape by just pushing the Record Pause/Start button. Once the desired CD has been selected, one press of the Record Pause/Start button puts the recorder into standby. Another press of the button starts the recording process.

Speaker Design: Each speaker uses a 2" cone tweeter and a 4" cone woofer, with two front-firing ports for improved bass response. The speaker enclosures are covered by non-removable light gray cloth grilles. Each speaker has a 77-inch length of non-detachable 24-gauge speaker wire. There are no built-in provisions for wall-mounting the speakers.

Dimensions: Width= 6.696", Height= 9.691", Depth= 7.23"

Weight: Each speaker weighs 4.8 pounds.

Inputs and Outputs Notes

Headphone Output: The CMT-EP707 features a stereo minijack headphone output on the front panel. The speaker outputs are muted when headphones are plugged in.

MD Input: There are left and right RCA inputs on the rear panel labeled "MD In." In addition to connecting a Minidisc player, this analog input can be used for most any type of external component.

Digital Output: You can send digital audio signals from the CD player to a digital recording device (CD recorder, Minidisc recorder, etc.) through the Optical Digital output. This unit has a standard Toslink connector.

Speaker Outputs: This unit has left and right spring clip speaker terminals which can accept bare wire and pin connectors. Speakers with an impedance of 4 ohms are recommended for this unit.
