Mega Bass: At
the push of a button on the front panel or remote, you can boost the bass
frequencies by turning on the Mega Bass.
Music Menu: You
can select one of three preset effects from the Music Menu. The effects include
Rock, Pop, and Jazz, or you can cancel the effects by choosing the
"Flat" option. These effects can be selected from the front panel or
The sleep timer switches the system off after a specified amount of time. The
sleep timer can be set to 0-90 minutes in 10 minute increments. Note:
When you are using the Sleep Timer, the Daily Timer and Timer recording will not
turn the system on until the Sleep Timer has turned the system off.
You can use the daily timer as an alarm clock to wake up to a cassette, a CD or
the radio. Once the timer is active, it will operate everyday at the set time. Note:

Once daily, you can record from a preset radio station to the cassette deck. The
timer allows you to specify a start and stop time. Note: If the system is
on at the preset time, the recording will not be made.
Power Saving Mode: Even
while the power is off, the system consumes power to display the clock and stay
responsive to commands from the remote. To reduce the amount of power consumed
during standby, the Power Saving mode shuts off the display.
system has a digital AM/FM Tuner. You can store up to 30 station presets so that
you always have easy access to your favorite stations without having to tune
them in manually each time. The tuner has three tuning modes: Manual, Preset,
and Auto (seek) tuning. Note: FM tuning is done in
0.1MHz steps and AM tuning is done in 9kHz or 10 kHz steps.
Three-disc CD Changer:
This system has a tray-loading, 3-disc CD changer. Although there is only one
disc loading tray, there are independent disc eject buttons for each of the
three discs. The elevator-style CD mechanism loads the discs into the proper
internal slot based on the disc slot selected.
Disc Exchange: Although
there is only a single tray, you can change two of the three discs while a third
disc is playing.
This unit will play prerecorded CDs, CD-R's or CD-RW discs.
Up to 25 tracks from any of the three discs can be programmed and played in any

Tape Playback: You
can playback a Type I (Normal), Type II (CrO2), or Type IV (Metal) tape.

CD Synchro Recording:
This feature allows you to automatically record a CD to tape by just pushing the
Record Pause/Start button. Once the desired CD has been selected, one press of
the Record Pause/Start button puts the recorder into standby. Another press of
the button starts the recording process.
Design: Each speaker uses a 2"
cone tweeter and a 4" cone woofer, with two front-firing ports for improved
bass response. The speaker enclosures are covered by non-removable light gray
cloth grilles. Each speaker has a 77-inch length of non-detachable 24-gauge
speaker wire. There are no built-in provisions for wall-mounting the speakers.

Headphone Output: The
CMT-EP707 features a stereo minijack headphone output on the front panel. The
speaker outputs are muted when headphones are plugged in.
MD Input: There
are left and right RCA inputs on the rear panel labeled "MD In." In
addition to connecting a Minidisc player, this analog input can be used for most
any type of external component.
Digital Output: You
can send digital audio signals from the CD player to a digital recording device
(CD recorder, Minidisc recorder, etc.) through the Optical Digital output. This
unit has a standard Toslink connector.
Speaker Outputs: This
unit has left and right spring clip speaker terminals which can accept bare wire
and pin connectors. Speakers with an impedance of 4 ohms are recommended for
