Features
G-Protection:
G-Protection was developed to protect against sound skipping while jogging,
providing a higher level of shock protection than traditional ESP. The
G-Protection feature provides 15-times faster shock recovery compared to
conventional shock protection systems, so it will easily outperform electronic
shock protection (ESP) systems equipped with 40-second buffers. The memory
buffer is refreshed so quickly, that it is virtually impossible to make a CD
skip. The G-Protection function can be set to level 1 or 2 by using a switch
under the lid. Level 1 is recommended when walking,
Level 2 is suggested when jogging or taking "harder exercise".
Play Modes: This
portable has the following play modes: Normal play, Single track play, Shuffle
play, Bookmarked Track play, Program play and Repeat play. Shuffle
mode allows you to play all the tracks on the loaded CD in random order. In
Bookmarked Track mode, you can add Bookmarks to up to 99 tracks for each CD. You
can use this function for up to 10 CDs. In Program
mode, you can select up to 64 tracks or files to be played in any order. Repeat
mode allows you to repeat Normal play, Single track play, Shuffle play,
Bookmarked Track play and Program play.
Bass Boost:
This feature uses digital processing technology to produce rich, deep, bass tones with extremely low harmonic distortion. You can select one of two bass boost settings.
AVLS Volume
Limiter:
The 2-position Automatic Volume Limiter System (AVLS) maintains volume output at
levels below distortion threshold for cleaner sound reproduction.
Display: The
LCD is located on the stick-style remote control.
Wired
Remote/Headphones: The
supplied MDR-027 on-the-ear headphones come with an attached 20" headphone
cord that is terminated with a standard stereo mini-plug. The headphones plug
into the stick-style remote. The remote fits naturally in your hand during
jogging and allows you to access all essential operations using only your thumb.
Jog Lever:
Built into both the CD Walkman player body and remote control, this feature
allows for simple one-finger playback operation.
Battery Charging Stand:
You can simply place the CD Walkman player on its specially-designed stand to
charge the rechargeable batteries, with no need to press buttons or flip
switches.
