Ditching the discs and going digital doesn't have to break the bank. Sony's DSX-A40UI digital media receiver offers an impressive list of features for its price range, along with plenty of connections for all your devices.
Bells and whistles are nice, but you don't necessarily need them to go all-digital in your car. The DSX-A40UI has all the basics covered, starting with a sleek-looking removable faceplate that also offers the functionality you need to enjoy your digital music library.
A handy USB port gives you lots of options for enjoying your digital music. Plug in a flash drive that you've loaded up with music, or connect your iPod®, iPhone®, or Android™ to listen to music and charge the device. You'll be able to use the receiver's controls to search through your music, and Sony's Quick-BrowZer® feature makes it easy to find music by artist, album, genre, song or playlist. You can also connect a satellite radio tuner or a portable music player to the front auxiliary input.
The built-in amp ensures that your music will come through loud and clear, even when you're really cranking it up. If you're the kind of person who likes to fiddle with the settings to suit your exact tastes, you'll be surprised at how much adjustability you get with the DSX-A40UI's 3-band equalizer. If you're thinking about adding an amplifier in the future, you'll find a set of 2-volt preamp outputs on the back panel.
This receiver offers a simple control panel with USB and auxiliary inputs.
Whether you're listening to digital music or your favorite AM/FM radio station, you'll be able to see what's playing on the single-line LCD display, which shows you track info, station ID and a clock. The faceplate's red button illumination adds a touch of style. You also get a handy remote control that lets your passengers play DJ while you drive.
In most vehicles, you can an adapter (not included) to connect your vehicle's steering wheel controls to this Sony stereo. Connect a few wires, then program the adapter for your particular car and the Sony, and you'll retain the convenience of your steering wheel controls.
iPod/smartphone note: If you're going to use your iPod or smartphone with this receiver, be sure to check "Details" for compatibility information.
Two good reasons - sound quality and cool features. A new car stereo offers power that's superior to most factory radios, along with more sophisticated tone controls. And most car stereos offer built-in or optional features that add safety and fun to life in your car, including inputs for your iPod or MP3 player, Bluetooth connectivity for hands-free cell phone calls, satellite radio or HD Radio reception, and connections for building an audio system in your car.
This receiver was a quick install into my 2005 GMC Sierra with no modifications and works great, the USB doesn't work with my lg g4 which is a bit of a bummer but it comes with a good range of features and with the free install gear was a great value.
Pros: Sounds great with my factory speakers. Easy install.
Cons: Doesn't work with many Android phones.
This is a great product for a first stereo for my daughter. It did not fail to deliver.
I wanted an inexpensive stereo to replace the original in my 11 year old Scion XA and this radio fit the bill nicely. What surprised me most of all is how easy and quick it was to install, I haven't installed a car radio in 25 years and I still remember how much work had to be done to fit the radio back then, now with the installation kit that Crutchfield sent with the radio, you just removed the dash panels, unscrewed the old radio and installed the new one with the mounting kit and in 20 mins. it was playing.
Pros: Great sound for the price, installation was painless and looks factory.
Cons: None really, but now I think I should have paid a little more and gotten a radio with Blue tooth just for the novelty.
This is a great stereo for the money. I plug my phone in and the stereo reads my phone and starts playing music right away. Installation was a breeze.
Pros: Easy installation, wires matched up by color - no guessing which wire is connected to which wire. Perfect fit in dash, looks like a pro installed it.
Cons: Wish it had bluetooth for hands-free phone calls.
nice digital media player. Easy to play USB and Aux. Sound is clear and its easy to use.
This is a nice radio and package came complete with everything you need. Crutchfield made it even better with the install kit
Pros: Like the sound and the USB port.
Cons: I wish the selector buttons were just a little bit bigger and maybe a shuffle feature for the usb music.
Replaced old Sony AM/FM CD stereo with this one. Everything I needed for installation in my vehicle was included. Installation was easy and went without a hitch. The sound is great and you can customize it with the equalizer function. Have the owner's manual with you while you are setting everything and setup is a breeze. I like the fact that I can download CD's onto flash drive and stick it into my pocket and go. I used that function on a 4 hour trip and had loaded 45 CD's onto an 8G flash drive and it played perfectly; and it beats trying to find radio stations while you're driving.
Pros: Plays flash drive, can plug in my phone, or mp3 player. Ease of installation, sound, ease of use.
Cons: I don't have any.
Bought this for my old 94 Camry. What can I say? This is the absolute best radio you can get for the price. Nothing flashy, but gets the job done every time. Reminds me of the car I installed it in. ;)
Pros: Cheap But durable iPod compatible
Fairly painless to install. Hint...the mounting screws are in the bag with the remote. I love the closable window over the USB/aux ports. I'd give it a five for sound quality but I need to replace my speakers first. If you need a good stereo at a great price, this one is for you.
Pros: Nice design
bought for '99 F250 greatnunit
Pros: usb, audio jack in,great price
Great Sony deck good quality and value
Pros: Flexible display and nice built in equalizer easy connecting to our iPhone and Android.
Cons: Would be nice to have the display red like the back lit buttons
All around good radio, nothing really stands out about it, but there are no glaring deficiencies. I got it so I could plug my Ipod into my older Silverado, and it lets me do exactly that. Only con is that when you plug a usb device into the radio, it takes up the entire display, so I can't see the time while I play music.
Pros: Easy install, works,
Cons: cannot use clock while playing musoc
Excellent receiver. Made older car speakers sound great, and has lots of features not in original equipment. Recommended as a great upgrade.
Pros: Sound quality, ease of use
I installed my radio the other day on my 2004 Kia Optima. Crutchfield made sure that the radio fit into my car, and a quick live chat with an associate helped me find an additional plastic housing for the radio for my car. He was also able to confirm that I didn't need to do any soddering, which was important given my low level of mechanical knowledge.
If you are looking for an inexpensive but solidly made, great sounding, and easy to use radio, I would go with this Sony. All I wanted was a stereo with USB and an audio jack to replace my old stereo, which only had a CD player. The sound quality is extremely noticeable over the stock unit. Make Sure you connect the blue and white wires for "amplified sound" (which I assume most vehicles have) otherwise the sound only comes out of the rear speakers. Also make sure that all of the copper wiring is twisted together and the little plastic containers cover all of the exposed wire.
I also recommend watching some how-to videos online to acquaint yourself with unplugging the car battery, removing the interior trim, and unplugging the other electrical units during the stereo swap. Be gentle with the plastic--on my Kia, I had to remove the entire center console including the horizontal part surrounding the hand break and gear shifter in addition to the vertical part surrounding the radio, vents, etc.
Pros: - Great value for money - Great solution to replace a stereo without an audio jack or USB input - Simultaneously cool and congenial to the style of even my 2004 car
Cons: - Only 4 radio presets (but 3 FM and 2 AM settings) - Lacks Bluetooth
Great for the value. Super easy install. Good quality. Easy to use.
Pros: Basic head unit that gives you what you paid for. Super easy to install and use.
Cons: None. Totally worth the price.
I needed a simple unit with USB input. This was for my 2000 Tacoma 4x4 which is more of a offroad/beach vehicle. There was no need for blue tooth or CDs. The install was easy and the sound is great. Definitely sounds better than the ancient stock unit! I would recommend this unit.
Pros: Good price and I was able to get all the additional hardware from Crutchfield.
Cons: None so far.
Everything about this unit is fine, with one big exception: the volume control knob is used to access the settings menu when pressed, so every time I touch the thing I can't control the volume because it is constantly accessing the settings menu. Extremely annoying.
Bought this radio as a replacement for the old Blaupunkt in My 87 BMW 528e its a solid radio with media capabilities I was not interested in a CD player since I have gone digital. I like the fact that it has iPhone Control as well a USB slot. 45 Watts are more than adequate for my needs and the unit clean. Installation was a breeze with ever thing needed in the box. I bought the installation kit due to the BWM having floating ground system similar to Ford but in the end I decided to just new wiring to the speakers and will be returning the unused hardware. I guess you could call me a fan of Sony products since most of my home electronics is of the Sony brand. But the reason for this has been the quality and features that they put into their products. I have been happy with their performance over the years and they are my go to brand. Because this unit does not have a CD player the price point is very affordable and delivers without compromise.
Pros: Great product from a well established brand with excellent performance and build quality at an affordable price. What more could you ask for?
Cons: None to date.
Very good sound quality and that is always a priority for me. Good sound for a little money = happy person!
Took longer to attache the wires to the harness than install this unit into my Accord. Great value and like the iPhone compatible features.
Pros: IPhone compatible
Cons: No bluetooth...my mistake however
Installation with the purchased mounting bracket, wiring harness, and antenna adapter was quite easy, much less trouble than I had originally anticipated. I found a couple YouTube videos to help figure out out to remove the dash.
Pros: Ease of installation with the provided mounting hardware.
Cons: The unit's instructions could have provided more details information for navigating the various functions and controls. I should have to figure so much of it out through experimentation.
Great product for the price. No problems with connection. Sounds fantastic.
We wanted the Sony brand name for reputation and wanted the USB access port for easy connect to our Apple products. This receiver features both. We don't play CD's any more so not having a CD player is no issues for us. It is simple to set up and use, not overly complicated and not overly packed with other features that we will never use. I'd say this is an awesome receiver for the price and I was surprised how great is sounds.
Pros: Easy to install, small body which takes up less space in dash. Nice color, matches the red exterior of our vehicle. USB port to play through and this port also charges the phone so no additional plug-in chargers into cigarette lighter sockets are needed. Allows us to play through his Apple i-phone, so we don't need one of those cheap radio frequency transmitter devices that you have to use otherwise.
Cons: Only has four pre-set buttons per channel bank, so you can set 4 stations on FM1, then four more on FM2, etc. This makes it necessary to switch from FM1 to FM2 to pick more than 4 pre-set stations. This is only a problem if more than one person drives the car.
Easy use and great features
I installed this in my daughters car. Only took about 20 minutes!! Crutch field never disappoints. I love how they supply or suggest the gear you will need to get it done fast. The master sheets are a big help. I always get my car audio from crutch field. They are the best place to go for any of your car audio/video needs.
Pros: Wireless remote Preset EQ's iPod and android compatible Front USB and aux inputs and it also charges your device
Cons: The only cons I have is that I didn't upgrade the factory speakers .
Great for the$. Easy install. Fits/looks fine in my 94 bmw. For the money I'm not that worried about leaving the top down. If someone wants it I'm not replacing a high end unit.
Nice and simple. I like the controls. Easy to scan the radio with one push of scan button. Big volume knob is easy to use. Simple display for those of us who don't need lots of bells and whistles. Sound quality is adequate. Great price.
Pros: simple, easy to use, USB connection
Cons: can't dim the display. Clock is off when unit is off.
Sounds great! Easy to install. Love the USB and aux ports. Even looks cool in the dark.
Pros: Great value. Put in an old Honda Accord for my son to drive for college.
Cons: None yet.
Nice and aesy to use ..Nice Sound
My boyfriend bought me this stereo for my Oldsmobile Alero beacuse my factory stereo was on its last leg. I have very few modern features in my '04 so this was a huge upgrade for me! I was afraid I wouldn't like the red color as the rest of the lights on my center and dash are greenish but the red on this stereo is very subtle and not bright. You can see it great during the day but it also has a dimmer so you can turn it down at night, if needed. I love the sound quality. I also was under the impression that the clock would only display for a few seconds before changing back. But I was pleased to discover that if you click the display button, the clock will stay on for as long as you please. I am able to save 12 preset stations which is way more than I need. I can VERY easily plug up my phone via auxillary or USB and listen to music. I also love the little door that closes over the ports. The stereo looks great in my car. I was worried it'd look a bit odd in my old car but it looks like it belongs there. I love having the little slot of space underneath too, to hold my phone. The install was so simple. My boyfriend did it, but I watched and it was a breeze. Everything hooked up easily with no issues along the way. And it worked on the very first try. Overall I am beyond satisfied. It looks great, sounds great, is easy to use and is everything I neeed. I am very pleased with it.
Pros: Easy to install, even with no electrical background. Looks natural. Sounds great. Lights are not distracting. Dimmer included. Clock stays on for as long as I want. Easy access to AUX and USB. Lots of preset options. Great price.
Cons: I only wish I could change the button illumination color from red. But for this price, I don't expect to have that much customization. And, the red is subtle and not overwhelming.
I was a little worried about not having a CD player but then I remembered it's 2015 and I haven't bought a CD in years. One USB cord to charge my iPhone and to play and control the music. Brilliant. After connecting the wiring harness, installation in my Dodge Stratus took no longer than five minutes and the fit was perfect. I was worried it would stick out like an obvious aftermarket stereo but I couldn't be happier and the price was ridiculously inexpensive for the quality. Would reccomend.
The radio was very easy to install with the appropriate Metra harness for my F150 and doesn't look too bad in the dash. The overall quality of the device is excellent for its price point and beats devices twice its cost. The FM sensitivity of the unit is nice. The major downside is the USB connection is essentially worthless for any Android device of the last couple years since MSC is a terrible connection method for phones and hasn't been used since Gingerbread Android. So if you have an Android device you are likely stuck with the Aux input.
The sound quality of the unit is good, but would likely be better if I replaced the factory speakers.
Pros: 1. Nice Build quality 2. Good sound 3. Good FM sensitivity 4. Easy installation
Cons: 1. Doesn't charge higher powered smartphones well. 2. Severely outdated USB connection method (MSC) which will only work with flash drives or old Android devices.
Only took a couple hours to have it up and running since the old unit was already removed. Did the necessary wiring, except for speakers, on my desk then to the garage to complete the installation. Radio setup went quickly, too. Didn't take long at all to have my favorite stations memorized and enjoy some of my digitized '50s and '60s tunes on a 32Gb USB thumb drive.
Pros: 1. Easy to install. 2. Lots of options and features 3. Great sound. 4. Super fast delivery and excellent service.
This receiver is a great replacement or OEM alternative. My car's OEM radio was removed by a previous owner along with the amp and all the wiring, so I chose to just install this receiver since the color matches and it looks era specific. I was glad to find a plain looking receiver such as this. Wish it had bluetooth...
Pros: no CD Player, looks old
Cons: no bluetooth
easy to install
Great receiver for the money. Easy to use right out of the box.
Pros: Easy to use.
Cons: Only 4 preset buttons for tuner
I bought 2 of these stereos as xmas gifts and did the installations myself, one for an 01 Subaru legacy outback and another for an 05 Subaru impreza wagon. In both cases the stereo was about 1/8 of an inch wider and taller than the OEM stereo, and as a result it was tough to get it to actually fit and the end result was not as clean as I'd hoped for. I used the suggested dash kit which also did not line up flush with the panel. Crutchfield says the stereo fits in both cars, but if i could do it again I would look for one that has smaller dimensions. Anyway these were my 4th and 5th stereo installations so Im by no means a professional, but if you are looking to replace an older model subaru stereo you may want to look for something shorter and skinnier.
Pros: the sound quality was improved and the ipod control with charging is great
Cons: see above
Works great pulls in stations from long ways out. Good buy for cost.
great product, no more cd's to get stuck or scratched, can load my playlist and go, perfect for road trips
Pros: simple to install, harness was a snap, price was great
For less than $75, this is a fabulous stereo. Very simple, no-frills unit with good power and functionality.
Pros: Simple, inexpensive, easy to use and install.
Cons: For the money, I can't think of a single "con".
Pros: Easy to install! Awesome radio!!
This is a great, budget digital media player, perfect to replace an factory radio. My factory radio was more than a decade old and needed an upgrade; while this doesn't have a CD player, it does have a USB port, which can play music straight from a USB drive. The sound is great, and installation was fairly easy, however the faceplate specified for my car doesn't fit it perfectly. It still looks good and is secured in place, but I would have liked to see it fit in a little better. It is fairly easy to use, and has an auxiliary port and USB port, so you can play music from a phone while charging it. Overall, it is a great product to help the user step into the digital age.
Pros: Great sound, looks great, has USB port, plenty of functions and settings.
Cons: Menu system can be a little confusing.
This is a great sounding receiver for the price
Replaced another radio in my son's truck. Sounds great!
Nice unit for the price. Needed something to replace the factory stereo in my wife's van and this was a good, cost effective option. No problems with the install and all features are easy to use. The ability to connect and/or charge an iPhone is a nice extra feature for the price.
Awesome item at low price
I received the system very fast and the install kit. Every thing went together great and fit was great. All and all very pleased !
Pros: Easy to use and sounds good even with factory speakers !
Cons: None so far !
Works great pulls in stations from long ways out. Good buy for cost.
Pros: Big Bang little $
Its a great product and works sufficiently and sounds great.
Good for the money. Nice for my old brand like new mitsubishi montero 1998
Pros: Look modern style radio. Fit perfect on my car.
Cons: Load of song from a jump drive to search is not helpful.
Has great AM/FM reception.
Nice unit for the money.
I wanted an inexpensive unit for a daily driver. This one was perfect for my needs. It installed easily and the connector kit fit great. Took a while to connect all the wires but when that was done I was about done.
Pros: Looks great works great sounds great. Easy to install. Remote works well. Love the usb and aux hookups right on the front under the door. It reminds you to remove the face when engine is shut off by beeping 3 times. This can be turned off, but I like the reminder.
Cons: Don't have any yet.
Sounds great, the display isn't very intuitive though. Works great with iPhone.
Put in a 844 front end loader lots of dusts. Very nice perfect fit .very happy .
What I expected for the price. That said, it's a nice sounding basic functioning media player. Does just what I need it to, Sends my music to an amp! It doesn't read my Samsung Note lll, little disappointed in that only. USB storage, no problem.
Pros: Simple functions & install. Not paying for a bunch of bells and whistles.
Cons: Want read my phone
I took the gamble that I would not need a CD player. It is an outdated tech and costs too much these days to make mp3 cds. In fact, I am quite pleased not having a cd player. I have a 32 gb usb stick that I use with this unit and it could not be easier to transition away from fumbling with cds.
I reviewed a LOT of different units before selecting this one. The off brand stuff had flashier screens, but poor reviews on quality. The more expensive units did not appeal to me as I have sunk entirely too much money into repairing my Jeep to afford a more elaborate radio. The price on this unit is quite good considering it still packs a solid amplifier, delivering plenty of power to my speakers. The quality of the converters is excellent, revealing detail in my mp3's that other sources I own fail to deliver. It has a basic 3 band equalizer, which is good enough to tweak the sound to an appealing degree. The built in eq presets are not bad either.
Installing it was easy enough. Had to remove the sleeve and black plastic frame for the Jeep Liberty kit. But it looks good, and is only slightly inset from an otherwise flush position with the install kit.
The buttons are of a high quality, giving a good click when pressed. The solid nature of the materials used is typical for sony products, even their cheaper units like this one.
Nice clear screen, reasonable expansion options.
Pros: Compact Solid state - no moving parts Removable faceplate is compact, about 3/4 the width of the unit - easier to pocket. Clear buttons with logical functions. Easy to program presets, set clock, and search folders on USB drive. Very good quality amplifier and D/A converters. Much better than a stock radio. Radio reception is pretty good also. Display is bright and clear, and can be dimmed if too bright for driving - I find it fine at the default setting. Powerful amp drives speakers well
Cons: Only one aux output. You can add an amp and sub, but only one. No CD player might be a problem for people that don't convert their CD's to mp3 or own an USB stick to store them on. But that is the point of this unit - it is cheaper to manufacture because it lacks moving parts. And Sony did not skimp on the quality just because it lacks a CD player. The screen has only a single line of text. As such, you have to toggle between showing the clock, track name, album name, etc. But this is easy to
INstalled the Sony on a vintage 1986 Porsche Carrera. Faceplate resembles correct era. FM pulls station from Los Angeles like if stations where in San Diego. USB and Smart Phone compatibility is a plus.
Pros: Price, Quality, Remote control
Cons: none that i can think of.
Bought this stereo for my son's car, he loves it and it looks like it is a stock stereo.
Pros: Easy to install and looks great.
This unit installed so easy into my 2011 Honda Element it was not even funny. Crutchfield provided the wiring harness and instructions. I soldered all connections and used heat shrink over the connections. I did not need to use the provided install kit or the provided antenna connector. After soldering, everything just fit together and within minutes I was listening to my iPod. Basic unit but great for hoping in the car, plugging in your iPod and off you go. Good enough control over EQ, either preset or make your own curves. Radio reception was stellar, I was really surprised because the OEM radio got almost nothing parked in my driveway and the Sony was picking up stations from far away nice and clear. No CD player but that is what I wanted and it puts out 17 Watts RMS X 4, more than enough power for the average listener. That is more power than you think. Overall a very good unit for the price and while not mind blowing in looks or performance it WORKS!
Pros: Easy install. Easy to operate. Charges iPod while on the go. Good sound and excellent radio reception.
I purchased a different deck first. Giant piece of junk! I should've gone through Crutchfield like everyone suggested. The Sony is easy to use, sounds great, and was a snap to install.
Pros: Easy install Great sound Removable face
Cons: No dimmer
awesome radio and easy to connect
Sounds great, my 19 year old son thought it was awesome.
it works great on my 2012 dyna
Excellent choice for my Z. Nice fit and looks great. Highly recommend .
Pros: Great sound easy install
Cons: None so far
I got this radio in two days after ordering. I received all the necessary accessories to be conected to my minivan right away. I tried my galaxy phone to see how it works and did pretty good. Than I plug in my iphone and works very well for both apple and android. I recommended this radio.
It is a really good piece of equipment for the price. I would highly recommend It to anyone that is looking for a good sounding "Radio."
Pros: Pretty much everything.
Cons: No sub out, you can't change the color. But hey for the price you can't complain.
I rarely use a cd anymore and with the limited depth of the original factory space, this player fit right in.
Great sound for a small price, very easy to install, lots of sound options. I was looking for a stereo that I could plug a thumb drive into or use my phone both work great with this model.
Pros: price, sound
I wanted one without the CD player because I don't play CDs anymore. It does play all of my digital media well. I think it could've been built better though. The face feels/looks cheap. It's flimsy when you press certain buttons.
Pros: Works well and does what it's supposed to do.
Cons: Looks/feels cheaply made.
I bought this unit to replace a tired and worn out factory deck. My reason for picking a unit with no CD player was I found myself using only my I-pod in my car and it is I-pod compatible. It had all of the features that I wanted and it a simple plug and play type of unit. Hook up and install was very easy and install instructions are clear. I am not a fan of set EQ levels so I do not use them. I do use the loudness feature and it works well without being boomy. My only real complaint is that the part of the user manual regarding I-pod could be more clear. It does not give good instruction on how to scan and play songs. Power is good and would make the best match with high efficiency speakers above 91 or 92. AM reception is excellent and I have no issues listening to NYC channels. FM is excellent as well and there are plenty of presets for both AM and FM.
Pros: Excellent performance at a great price. Easy hook up, Great reception on both bands. Good build quality. Easy install. Plenty of EQ choices. Low key look is not flashy and will not attract theft.
Cons: User manual in regards to I-Pod.
For the price this a good car stereo. It's not the best one ever but you can't beat it if your on a budget.
Pros: Cheap, easy to install, decent quality
Cons: The feeling of the front panel is "cheap" plastic
Product installed easily and works great.
Pros: Easy installation in my BMW, sounds very good with the premium speakers and amp.
Cons: None - so far so good.
Another brilliant Sony product with familiar attributes only found in the engineering prowess of a sony stereo. Clean sound and a precision built product. The design , of course, goes without saying. A remarkable entry level digital media head with an equally remarkable price point. Well worth a look !
Pros: Digital savvy for the Nubian.
Cons: For the Sony experienced, a little more was expected.
Only thing I would change is to stop the "streaming" on the unit telling me all of the features of it. Would just like to see the clock only. Otherwise, this unit does the job in a very big way :)
Pros: Ease of installation and use
Cons: None at all
Like the way it works
Great radio for a great price. Works perfect with my iphone 5.
Easy to install and great sound at a reasonable (actually quite low) price. I would definitely recommend this radio.
Pros: It is easy to use.
Cons: Small buttons with small text. A little hard to see in low light but not a big problem.
I was originally just looking to add an auxiliary input to my factory system so I could play music from my smartphone through the car's speakers. After researching I determined it would be easier to just replace the factory radio with this one. Could not have made a better decision. Auxiliary input AND USB input makes this receiver way more than what I was expecting. Loaded up an 8gb USB with music and haven't looked back. Great sound and really strong reception on the radio, pulling in stations my factory receiver could not. Very pleased with my purchase.
Pros: Ease of installation (thanks to Crutchfield of course) and quality at a reasonable price
I really like the radio and features, working out really well. The only problem I am having is the AM reception
Pros: Sleek design and works great
Cons: The AM reception is very bad. The FM is great, the MP3 is great but AM is really bad
Great stereo easy to use
Pros: Aux/USB easy to install gets very loud with new speakers I put in up to 50
much more than I expected
Pros: This unit is very compact, light weight...I will never use CD's again...this unit will fit into any vehicle's dash...very loud, does not require an amp but has the input jacks if needed...the Crutchfield instructions and equipment which shipped with the unit were "spot on"...I am glad I took this rout and did it myself which saved me hundreds of dollars.
this is a great product for the price. sounds great, works great with all media & its easy to install.
I always buy Sony because I like the small display and easy to use but this I just got I really don't like it because of the big letters display' so I put it in my wife car
Pros: should have a choice between a big display or a small display
Cons: no full reading of flashdrive and display could be better like before
Great receiver for the money. Easy to install. Pulls in distant radio stations that the stock unit couldn't.
Pros: Price, USB, sound quality. Great little receiver.
Cons: Controls took a little bit to figure out but wasn't bad.
Truly outstanding product for the price. I started out just looking around, and I just couldn't pass it up. Crutchfield has a great website. It was easy to find. I'll definitely be back for more!
Pros: Amazing website Great gear Great return policy Ships fast
