Features
Overview: The FDA-SV1 is an external optical viewfinder designed for use with the Sony α NEX-series Interchangeable Lens Digital Cameras. It should only be used when the optional SEL16F28 16mm f/2.8 lens is attached to the camera. It comes with a plastic lens cap, and a soft cloth carrying pouch.
Smart Accessory Terminal: The FDA-SV1 uses the camera's Smart Accessory Terminal system on the Sony Interchangeable Lens Digital Cameras. Once the unit has been attached to the camera, the locking screw should be tightened to prevent loss. The Optical Viewfinder and an external flash unit cannot be used simultaneously.
Design: The Optical Viewfinder has 5 lens elements in 4 groups for a 0.49x magnification (approximate). It features an Albada-type inverse-Galileo lens. The viewfinder has a view field rate of approximately 81%, so what you see in the viewfinder is not exactly what is in the frame of the picture, especially at distances of about 26" or less. The close range correction marker can assist you as you compose the picture.
