Watching your budget doesn't mean that you need to settle for less. Sony's CDX-GT260MP CD receiver brings solid performance and excellent sound quality to your car at an attractive price.

A sonic stepup
The receiver's built-in amplifier delivers plenty of power with deep, realistic soundstaging and excellent stereo separation. Sony's EQ3 Stage 2 gives you plenty of sound-shaping options — you can choose from 8 preset equalizer curves, or adjust the lows, mids, and highs to match your own taste. If you're using a subwoofer, you can adjust its volume with the Sony's controls, and you can even trim out some of the low frequencies from your full-range speakers so they'll play louder and cleaner.

Take your digital music on the road
You can plug your iPod® into the front-panel auxiliary input, and it's perfect for Dock & Play satellite radios and other devices too. You're not limited to store-bought CDs with the '260. A disc loaded with MP3 or WMA files will play for hours, so you'll be able to keep the music going strong on the longest road trips.

Want to keep your car's steering wheel audio controls?
In most vehicles, you can use an adapter to connect your vehicle's steering wheel controls to this Sony stereo. Connect a few wires, then program the adapter for your particular car and the Sony, and you'll retain the convenience of your steering wheel controls.
