Powerful sound

Sony built the CDX-GT570UP CD receiver around the same Digital Reality amp you'll find in their higher-priced car stereos. This unique amp design delivers surprising power combined with an accurate, deep soundstage so music sounds more natural inside your vehicle.

If you're a sonic tweaker, you'll have plenty of options. Sony includes a 7-band equalizer, digital time correction for sharp and precise stereo imaging, and DM+, which improves the sound of your compressed music. You can also activate the Rear Bass Enhancer which sends only low frequencies to your rear speakers, improving your bass and pulling the soundstage forward.

Sony CDX-GT570UP

Plenty of options

With that great sound comes plenty of ways to enjoy your music. In addition to a CD player with MP3 and WMA playback, the CDX-GT570UP comes equipped with front-panel auxiliary and USB inputs. You can plug in your iPod® or iPhone® to the USB port and enjoy control from the receiver, with nifty search tools like Quick Browzer and ZAPPIN that let you scan and find music quickly.

And if you're a Pandora® Internet radio fan, you can plug in your iPhone then browse stations or rate songs from the receiver's controls. You can add SiriusXM's compact tuner, and experience the impressive programming and coast-to-coast reception that makes satellite radio so popular.

Want to keep your steering wheel controls?

In most cars, you'll need an adapter to retain those controls with this car stereo. Connect a few wires, then program the adapter for your particular car and radio, and you'll retain the convenience of your steering wheel controls. You'll see the adapters that work with your vehicle when you add this receiver to your cart.

iPod/smartphone note: If you're going to use your iPod or smartphone with this receiver, be sure to check "Details" for compatibility information.

This radio does not have Android Auto. That interface method requires at least a 6.5" touchscreen on the radio. It does not support AOA 2.0 for newer Android integration. Feel free to call us on 1-800-324-9695 for a personalized recommendation on a radio. I hope this helps! My Bio: http://www.crutchfield.com/Support/Bio.aspx?bio=101

Yes in the display menu there is a place to make the side bars not bounce anymore. You will have to look in the manual for the specific name of the menu as I cannot remember right now.

Yes, but your stick will have to be formatted in FAT32, the more modern exFAT won't work. It also won't play ANY lossless formats such as WAV or FLAC.

It would read files downloaded from Windows Media Player. I don't know if that is mp3 files or wma files.

It sure does. You'll just have to learn how to scroll through albums and the tracks, which is really easy. And the random feature is awesome and very rarely plays the same track.

If I understand you correctly, it does come with one. I'm not 100 percent sure what a bezel is but if you mean the aluminum sleeve that anchors to the car where the unit slides & locks into it then yes it does have this. Let me know if this is not what you're talking about & I'll be happy to clarify. Hope this helps, it's a good unit for the money if you can live without Bluetooth

It comes with the small bezel you see. That's all I needed. However, if you have a larger opening they have a retro kit you can buy. It's sized to fit perfectly in older installations. RHF

You will want to contact an Advisor by phone (1-800-324-9695) or online chat to discuss compatibility with your plug from the other receiver. The chances here are likely pretty slim though, as the pin-outs on the harnesses often change between model years (and sometimes between models in the same year).

I just received this and the wiring diagram only has one signal lead to turn on an amp. I need to signal the amp as well as signal a power antennae. How can I do that? The Sony CDX-GT920U that I'm replacing has a signal lead for each. Can I hook them both the same lead on the receiver?

It looks like those settings should be in the menu. You can find out more about menu settings on pages 19-20 of the manual. If you click on menu it should allow to scroll through categories. The setting you'll need to adjust will likely be either in general or sound sections. If you purchased the product from Crutchfield, feel free to contact our Tech Support team. I forwarded your question to an Advisor and they responded with the following: The Sony has this capability but only by using a single, rear speaker output. there aren't many subs that can be used, since the power output of the head unit is relatively low. I'd recommend something like the JL Audio here- http://www.crutchfield.com/g_520/Component-Subwoofers.html?tp=111#?nvpair=FFSize|[rank12]5-1%2F4%22&avf=N If you would like to discuss further you can contact an Advisor directly by phone (1-800-324-9695) or online chat.

Where are the treble and bass controls? A punch amp requires a cd sound test that needs to have the bass and treble levels set to flat on the receiver. Thanks .

Controls are in the menu settings.
    james  Jul 08, 2014

There are no treble or bass controls, you have to customize the equalizer curve, see page 17 of the owners manual. There are 7 bands settings on the equalizer. The lowest band (band 1) is 67 Hz and most "bass" band, the highest band (band 7) is 16000 Hz and the most "treble" band.. By raising the DB level on the lower bands, you increase the bass. By raising the DB level on the middle bands, you increase the "midrange". By raising the DB level on the higher bands, you increase the treble. I bought this for my son and I instructed him to set as follows: Band 1 to +6 dB, Band 2 to +5 dB, Band 3 to +4 dB, Band 4 to +3 dB, Band 5 to +4 dB, Band 6 to +5 dB, Band 7 to +6 dB. That setting raises the volume on the bass and on the treble, and lowers the level on the midrange. My son could not stand that setting because I installed a Bazooka subwoofer and a an 1100 watt power amp in the trunk. But you can set the bass and treble whatever way you like using this method.

Press the silver wheel multifunction button and turn the wheel to set sound, press the silver button and turn the wheel to EQ7 and press the silver button and then turn it and there should be a preset for flat EQ.
