Sony CDX-GT575UP

Crank it up and enjoy the ride

Sony built the CDX-GT575UP around the Digital Reality amp, a unique design delivers surprising power combined with an accurate, deep soundstage so music sounds more natural inside your vehicle. If you're a tweaker, Sony includes a 7-band equalizer, digital time correction for sharp and precise stereo imaging, and DM+, which improves the sound of your compressed music. You can also activate the Rear Bass Enhancer which sends only low frequencies to your rear speakers, improving your bass and pulling the soundstage forward.

Subwoofer Direct Connection lets you combine the output of the receiver's two rear channels to drive a small subwoofer. That's great way to add some extra bass kick to your ride, perfect for small compacts or truck cabs, where space for an amp may be limited.

Your music on tap

The CDX-GT575UP comes equipped with front-panel auxiliary and USB inputs, along with a CD player that features MP3 and WMA playback. You can also plug in your iPod® or iPhone® to the USB port and browse your playlists from the receiver. Nifty search tools like Quick Browzer and ZAPPIN let you scan and find music quickly and easily. Plug in your iPhone, and you'll be able to access your Pandora® Internet radio stations and rate songs with the receiver's controls. You can also add SiriusXM's compact tuner, and experience the impressive programming and coast-to-coast reception that makes satellite radio so popular.

Want to keep your steering wheel controls?

In most cars, you'll need an adapter to retain those controls with this car stereo. Connect a few wires, then program the adapter for your particular car and radio, and you'll retain the convenience of your steering wheel controls. You'll see the adapters that work with your vehicle when you add this receiver to your cart.

iPod/smartphone note: If you're going to use your iPod or smartphone with this receiver, be sure to check "Details" for compatibility information.

I have found the sound equilivilent through all sources. I have this unit in a Motorhome and in my Jeep. I don't have an amp or the best speaker system but, sound is good compared to factory units with many more options. I have noticed that volume must be raised when using Pandora or Sirius. For the price. Happy with it.

    joshua  Apr 16, 2015

Simply put, yes. There is a button near the bottom right corner (next to the #6 preset button) that is labelled "Disp". This lets you choose what you want to display while it is playing music. It can cycle through station info, displaying time only, song names, etc.
    austin  Apr 13, 2015
    A
Yes. You will have to mess with the display settings to make it work but the instructions are easy to read and navigate. If you do listen to the radio or plug in an iPod in the USB port the display will still show the song and then revert back to the time if that is what you choose as the default.

For details on fit or installation please contact an Advisor by phone (1-800-324-9695) or online chat. They will be able to pull up your vehicle and give you the details on if this will fit and what you will need for an installation in your vehicle.

will the unit have to have a internet connection to use the Pandora ?

yes, since pandora is an internet based radio streaming service the device that is streaming Pandora over the head unit will have to have a stable internet connection or data connection.

Yes. The unit doesn't have Pandora built in; you use a separate device, such as a smartphone, to access pandora. You use the CDX only to upvote/downvote songs, skip songs, and to go through different stations that you have already.

Yes it does. It uses the Pandora off your phone but instead of controlling it with ur phone you will be able to control the stations with the radio.

    Q
When connecting an iPhone to the unit via the USB port, will it also charge your phone? My previous Sony head unit had the built in iPhone cable, but would not charge the phone. Thank you for your response

Ouestion: when playing the cd on the Sony auto player...how can I lower the "clicking" sound after I go to another song?

Absolutely. It charges my ipod 4th generation, my iphone 4s, and my daughters android phone.

Simply put, yes. This will charge your iPhone. I no longer have an iPhone, but it even charges my Galaxy. It will not play music through my new phone, I have to use the aux cable, BUT for iPhone everything works great! I've had this head unit installed for over a year now and have no complaints at all, and I am very picky with my audio... Hope that helps!

Rob, Yes, this unit will charge the iPhone. I currently still have a 4s but have had friends be able to charge the 5 also. It's not a fast charge but it will keep your phone from going dead. Hope that helps!

I use an iPod Classic with mine, and it does charge it. I assume it would be the same for the iPhone.
