These Sony speakers are simply amazing! Cannot wait to get in my car to go to work in the morning! The sound of music through these speakers pleases the ears and nakes every genre of music soud great! Replaced the factory speakers in the rear dash of my Honda and cannot wait to replace the front door speakers. It's like being at a concert while I am driving!!!

For not going crazy on the wallet for speakers, I am impressed with the sound these supply for my Accord. I do not have an amp or sub in the car and the bass sounds pretty good for just attaching to the head unit.

Pros: Easy to install. Sound. Price

Cons: None

These are OK speakers for the price. They were a decent price for replacement of an old factory speaker that failed.

Pros: They fit the factory brackets

Cons: None that I can think of.

Perfect fit in my '02 LeSabre. No adapters needed (except included GM wire connector).

Pros: Good fit, but not much sound improvement.

Cons: Sounds OK, but not much better than OEM.

Nice Sound

Written by: Marty from Belleville, IL on April 23, 2012

They sound great even with my factory stereo. All ranges (high, mid, low) blend well without one being overwhelming.

Pros: Look good, sound good, good price.

Cons: Bass could be a little stronger. Though that could mainly be due to the factory stereo.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I read reviews before I purchased and installed these. I didn't believe the reviews about the bass but I actually have less bass coming from these than my stock speakers which were the same size unknown brand. I have played around with settings and have everything hooked up right. The mids and highs sound better but it is definitely lacking bass(which could be my own expectation). I have a kenwood with the latest mosfet so its not that. These would be perfect if I had subs cause these things do crank up pretty good if the bass settings are lowered. Overall, I think they are good speakers but I was expecting more like what you hear from a premium factory stereo on a new car (bass wise). I can't wait to get subs cause I know these things will deliver the mids and highs really loud and clear without crackling.

Pros: Fits as stated, clear sound, mids and highs.

Cons: Bass

Clear sound, easy to install in my niissan frontier.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

For the price, these speakers are great. The bass is strong and punch, and the highs are sharp and clear. The mid-range is pretty decent as well. At really cranked up volumes, I've only got some distortion and muddled vocals on extremely bass heavy songs, namely "how low" by ludacris. Other then that these speakers are amazing. I would definitely buy them again

Pros: Strong, clear, hard hitting bass Crystal clear highs Cheap price

Cons: Some distortion at really high levels on bass heavy songs

2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder
Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

When my original 6x9's started clipping I knew it was time for a new set of speakers. I took a cance on these Sony's and have discovered a new realm of music....I cannot believe just how much music I was missing! Since my auto is a convertible space is somewhat limited. But these Sony's fit right in and with the "included" connector's I was finish installing them in under 25 minutes. Great actually took my ears a couple of days to adjust to what I was hearing, but now (1 week later!) I cannot for the life of me understand why I waited so long to do this upgrade! And upgrade it is, my sound is much richer, and the bass is really good. The price I paid for them was reasonable and cost effective! Crutchfield has always set the standard in a great sales experience! My shipment arrived fast, the quick connectors was an easy install and now....well now I've realized just how bad my front speakers sound, so I'll be in the market for a set of those as well! Heck since I'm at it a new head unit will be my "LIst of things to do in 2012"

Pros: Great sound, easy install

Cons: not a very heavy amount of Bass, but let's face it...if your a "bass-head" and enjoy that uber heavy beat, no 6x9's are going to fulfill that need to install these and add some true Sub Woofers and a couple o' amps while your at it!

Skrillex will kill these speakers

2006 Dodge Ram 1500
Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Installed these in my 2006 Dodge 1500 with S/O 50x4 RMS amp. Sounds great at lower volumes with lots of high end detail. But if a song comes on that "requires" more volume the speakers will clip. I have a seperate subs, and my high pass filter takes the bass away from the car speakers. I also have the gain set way low and I still have problems. Ive complained to Skrillex but he hasnt gotten back to me. Will probobly upgrade to Rockford or Boston Acc. eventually.

Pros: Great clarity and high end detail, low price

Cons: RMS wattage handling may be a bit overstated. If your putting these in front of an amp with any balls be careful, you may get frustrated. Otherwise they sound great if they are powered just by the head unit.

Easy to install, clear crisp sound, installed them along with xsgtx1641 in the front. big improvement from my factory speakers. great balance of highs, midrange and lows (bass). I have no idea why other reviews say bad or no bass it works great for me. I am using the built in 17watt rms amp on the cdxgt740ui to power it and it is amazing. very happy with this product

2000 Buick Regal
Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Pros: Speakers are easily installed and sound great. They respond very well even with the sound up very loud, an exceptional sound without loss of fidelity. Cons: There is a severe lack of bass from these speakers. I have a Monsoon stereo in my car with a built in amp and I have absolutely no bass. I am not sure if the speakers do not react with the amp well or if the other reviews where the buyer has no bass are an effect of the speaker itself.

I will happily keep the speakers, but will be adding a subwoofer to bring back the bottom end.

Written by: JBCOBRA from Deedo, Guam on June 13, 2011

one of my old stock speaker at the front of my 11 yo Xterra finally gave up so I've decide to change all 4 at the same time. First I've checked local audio shop for a affordable speaker set but cheapest one was over a $230 not including accessories... I was so glad I've ordered from Clutchfield, quoted price was nice and after I've replaced all 4 speakers, My car became my sound studio again! Price is good, Sound quality is good, all necessary accessory was included, I give 5 stars for this Item!

2007 Honda Accord VP
Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I bought these speakers to put into the rear of my Honda Accord 2007 VP.
Since the car didn't come stock with any speakers, the difference was
phenomenal. I used to have to put the volume at 25 to play at the level I want,
now I leave it at 18.

The bass is much better than the stock speakers (I listen to dubstep) and it's a
lot louder. The biggest difference is how clear these speakers are. The sound
is sharp to the point that every single instrument is clearly heard. Since I'm not
used to this, I had to turn down the treble to be able to handle the sharpness.

Overall, I'm very pleased with this purchase.

2011 Nissan Xterra
Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

chosen for price, not for sound quality, decided to return them :(

i installed the speakers and immediately i notice an absolute lack of bass
compared to stock. i put the stock speakers back in one side and the side with stock
sounded WAY better. the only advantage over stock speakers i see in these is
that they have independant tweeters, where i DID notice distinctively louder and
clearer highs, which can easily be remedied by a seperately mounted tweeter, but
the mids sounded the same and the lows were a bummer.

i think
these may be good speakers for the budget minded who do not get nearly as
concerned about the low end freqs, but if you listen to anything with bass, go
with something in a higher price range that will reproduce those freqs better.

Couldnt purchased a better pair of speakers!!!

Written by: CliffD from Pennsylvania on April 5, 2011

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I purchased these speakers for the front and back doors, they sound excellent.
I was incredibly susprised with the sound from the highs, mid, to the lows.
They work well with my stock car radio. Crutchfiled was very helpful with the
order, helping me understand exactly what fits in my car.

I recommend these speakers to anyone searching for 6x9 speakers.

PEN Diaphragm Tweeters: Each speaker uses a 7/16" PEN (Polyethlylene Naphthalate) diaphragm dome tweeter for fast transient highs with lower distortion.
