I am very impressed by these speakers.

While it took a little modification of the factory tweeter mounts--I broke two tiny pieces out and made the mounting screw hole bigger--to get them to fit. I also had to mount the crossovers under the armrest which meant that I had to cut the remaining part of the screws off so that I wouldn't impale my elbow. Some additional wiring was also required, since the factory speakers didn't have a crossover.

Having said all of that, I adore the sound that I get out of them. The extra effort required to install them was well worth it for the sound that I get. It's a night-and-day difference: there's more bass, and I had to turn the treble adjustment way down because the Sony tweeters are so much more effective.

I would highly recommend these to anyone who's had a little experience with installing car audio components.

i had these in my trailblazer for around 3 weeks before i found a set of bose door woofers that i added and then i amped the entire system and wow does it sound completely amazing.... im still using the tweeters and the crossover and both are preforming extreamly well!

don't pay more than these...highs crisp...lows leave something to be desired...add a bazooka to them and they are great for the price!! must buy!!

Got these to replace a Blaupunkt set of components that died in my 99 Tahoe. Smoother install for the mid bass speaker than my older blaupunkt set. The tweeter went nicely in the factory door location by the window controls once I was able to secure one of the included mounting brackets in that location.

All in all, they sound great, like my stereo has not sounded in years. Bass is much better than my previous speakers and they are not even broken in yet!

Good Sound Good Price

Wanted to replace my rear door speakers and Crutchfield had these so I thought what the heck? I'm impressed with the sound and quality of these speakers. The hardest part was getting the door panel off so I could install them. If you are looking for an inexpensive speaker upgrade then get these speakers. I'm going to order me another pair for my front doors!

I was a little shaky about installing components, but I did it (it took about 7 hours) and I am glad that I did. Specifics for my 2003 Honda CR-V: the tweeters fit in the factory mounts in the dash! Just a little glue to keep them there and BAM!-factory appearance in the front. As for the woofers-throw away the mounts that Crutchfield includes, instead just gut the factory speakers out of their frame and re-use the factory speaker frame.

There was ample room for the crossovers in the front doors, though it was tricky routing the tweeter wire through the door's weatherproof wire tube. As for the rear doors, I mounted the tweeters in the small forward door pockets, and had a heck of a time finding a place for the crossovers...which eventually ended up on the interior of the door frame. Was very tricky with the rear doors.

-Installation was very complicated to get as close to a factory look as possible, would have been much easier had I been willing to drill holes and put tweeters where they would be visible.

Also, no speaker wire is included. 30+ ft for a complex installation was needed.

I have these paired with the Eclipse AVN4430, the sound is like a concert hall, and these woofers passed my Subwoofer test track. Bass is superb, highs are too high if they're not reduced at the crossover, and the mids are accurate.

As a hard-to-please audiophile, I am very pleased with these speakers and would recommend them to anyone looking for excellent, good, crisp accurate sound!

Put these in my 2004 trailblazer front doors. Minimum effort to install. I have the stock radio and it sound great. Small distortion at top volume.

This component speaker system is Great, Crisp highs and Great Lows. Can't ask for a better system for the money. With the instalation guide from Crutchfield, it couldn't be easier. Totally worth the money, you won't be sorry.

I got these speakers to replace the factory speakers that were in my 2000 Nissan Altima. It was worth the money and 5 hours of effort to get them in. T These speakers have perfect sound and the bass is never a problem. Now I just have to get a second set to put in my door speakers.
