Sony Xplod GTX Series component speakers fill your vehicle with full-range sound, with sharp stereo imaging and accurate sound staging. Separate tweeters pinpoint the position of the instruments inside your acoustic space for performances that sound realistic and thrilling.
The XS-GTX1620S system features 6-1/2" woofers, with cones made from a proprietary material that's lighter and stronger than polypropylene for better energy efficiency and power handling. These woofers also absorb unwanted frequencies, so the cones recover quickly from one note to be ready for the next one, increasing clarity in the vocal range. Synthetic rubber speaker surrounds resist stretching and maintain their elasticity for long life under heavy usage.
The 1-1/2" laminated polyester soft dome tweeters produce clear high frequencies, bringing out your music's details and delivering a lively, open sound. The external 2-way crossovers distribute the lows and highs to the woofers and tweeters, creating a seamless blend of well-balanced sound, from the lowest drum thump to the highest cymbal crash.
