Sony MRW-E80

XQD memory card reader

1 Review

Overview

This XQD memory card reader connects to your computer's USB port for high-speed transfer of digital still images and video files. XQD is a new memory card format designed for select high-end cameras, and it specializes in high-speed RAW image and video capture.

Works great, seems faster than my CF reader but I haven't measured that. Well-built. Works like it should. Wish it had slots for CF & SD cards too.

Features

Overview: The Sony XQD Card Reader (MRW-E80) lets you quickly and easily transfer large quantities of very high capacity data to your PC. It is USB 3.0 compatible with its higher transfer speeds (up to 125 MB/s), however, it is also backwards compatible with USB 2.0 (up to 43 MB/s).

USB 3.0 Cable: The XQD Card Reader comes with a 2' USB 3.0 cable with a male SuperSpeed Micro-B connector on the card reader end and a male SuperSpeed Standard-A connector on the computer end. The SuperSpeed Standard-A connector fits in a standard USB type-A port, but the SuperSpeed pins don't make contact.
