Overview: The Sony MRW-F3 Memory Card Reader is a portable compact device that allows you to read from and write to most all types of Memory Stick and SD Memory cards. The cards can be inserted into the end of the reader, and the reader plugs directly to your computer via its Hi-Speed-compatible male Type A USB plug. No AC power supply is required. The device, when loaded with a compatible memory card, can double as a USB flash drive.

Media Card Compatibility: The device is compatible with the following media cards:

  • Memory Stick Duo (including cards with MagicGate)
  • Memory Stick PRO Duo
  • Memory Stick PRO-HG Duo
  • Memory Stick Micro (M2) *
  • SD Memory Card
  • SDHC Memory Card
  • SDXC Memory Card
  • microSD Memory Card *
  • microSDHC Memory Card *
  • MultiMediaCard

Computer Requirements: The Sony Memory Card Reader works with Windows and Macintosh operating systems. Your computer must have at least one available USB port. The device is compatible with the following operating systems:

  • Windows XP (SP2 or later) (Update required for SDXC Memory Cards)
  • Windows Vista (SP1 or later)
  • Windows 7
  • Mac OS X v.10.2, 10.3, 10.4, 10.5, 10.6 (Mac OS is not compatible with SDXC Memory Cards)

Non-computer Use: The Memory Card Reader can be used with TVs equipped with USB ports that support "slideshows" of pictures or AVCHD movie playback.

Write Protection: When a Memory Card with a Write-Protection switch is used, data on the card cannot be recorded, edited, or deleted if the Lock is enabled. It is recommended that you make a backup copy of important data.
