The RDP-XF300IP delivers a lot of portable music entertainment in one simple package. This powered speaker system's dock can hold an iPod, an iPhone, or even a iPad. Just slide it out and plug in your player to start the music.
Built-in Bluetooth gives you convenient wireless playback with lots of devices. Stream audio from your compatible smartphone, tablet, game console, or computer. And you can also use the Bluetooth functionality of your iPod touch®, iPhone, or iPad to play your tunes without docking.
Want to listen to the big game? The RDP-XF300IP features a built-in FM tuner. And with 20 presets, all of your favorite stations can be called up at a moment's notice.
Made to travel
It's easy to pick up the system and move it from room to room, or out and about. You can slide out the iPod dock for your player, and close it back up for travel. The built-in rechargeable battery provides up to six hours of operation. And when you use the AC adapter to charge the system, it will also recharge your docked player.
Free app gives you more control options
The RDP-XF300IP comes with its own remote for basic controls such as play, pause, power, and track skip. But with Sony's D-Sappli app (available as free download from iTunes®), you do even more. Select from different preset EQ curves, or engage a customizable graphic equalizer to adjust the sound to your tastes. Or turn your docked player and RDP-XF300IP into a digital clock radio. The app gives you a choice of clock faces that display on your Apple device, and lets you program multiple alarms. You can also set sleep timers, as well as what music you want to awaken to.

Personal Audio Docking System: The Sony RDP-XF300iP is a portable personal audio docking system for your iPod, iPhone, or iPad; as well as other external audio devices. The Sony RDP-XF300iP personal audio docking system features an Apple dock connector, built-in Bluetooth A2DP/AVRCP, and a 3.5mm Aux input. Designed to work with your iPod, iPhone, or iPad, you can charge your device while playing back music and videos without removing its case (no adaptors required). The RDP-XF300iP operates off of battery and AC power. The Sony portable personal audio docking system features an integrated carry handle.
40W Speaker System: The Sony RDP-XF300iP features a powerful 40-Watt (20W + 20W) digital amplifier and dual 3" full-range drivers for crisp, clear sound. The stereo speaker system has a frequency response of 150 Hz to 10,000 Hz.
Note: The RDP-XF300iP only outputs 7-watts x 2ch when operating in battery-power mode.
DSP Sound Modes: The Sony RDP-XF300iP employs a unique DSP circuitry with five different sound modes (including Flat, Vocal, Rock, Pop, or Jazz) for optimum music listening.
Apple Dock Connector: Built for iPod/iPhone/iPad, the RDP-XF300iP's dock connector enables music playback, remote control, battery charging, when your compatible Apple device is docked (no adaptors required). You can even dock your Apple device without removing your case. The dock connector is retractable, so it can be hidden when you disconnect your iPod, iPhone, or iPad. - D-Sappli automatically synchs date/time information from your iPod touch, iPhone, or iPad so you don't have to.
- Choose from 7 uniquely attractive clock display designs.
- D-Sappli can memorize up to 10 alarms with your choice of the time, dates, and alarm tones.
- Use its Music Play Timer functionality to set your music to automatically start and stop whenever you'd like.
- Fall asleep to your favorite nighttime playlist without the annoyance of
waking up to it the next morning by setting Sleep Timer to turn it off after
you've fallen asleep.
D-Sappli helps you manage preset stations by showing the preset list with editing the name, sorting orders, and changing the frequency on screen. - D-Sappli lets you enjoy the music of your choice with several EQ
settings (Rock/Classic/Jazz/Pop/Dance), Off (Flat), or customizable graphic EQ
(120Hz, 330Hz, 1kHz, 3kHz, 9kHz).
Note: The D-Sappli app is compatible with the iPod touch, iPhone, and iPad; running iOS 3.1.3 or later.
Bluetooth Audio Streaming: The Sony RDP-XF300iP personal audio docking system features built-in Bluetooth Audio Streaming (A2DP/AVRCP) and is Bluetooth version 2.1 + EDR certified. This allows you to stream music from your Bluetooth enabled device to the Sony RDP-XF300iP speaker system. You can control basic playback functions (Play/Pause, Next/Previous) of your Bluetooth enabled device from the included IR remote control. Bluetooth wireless technology operates within a range of about 10 meters (about 30 ft).
Note: Due to the differences in Bluetooth technology, some Bluetooth enabled devices may be incompatible, function improperly, or may not support all features when used with the Sony RDP-XF300iP.
Auxiliary Input: The Sony RDP-XF300iP features a 3.5mm auxiliary input to connect almost any external, portable audio player that features a minijack audio output or headphone output.
FM Radio: A built-in digital FM tuner (87.5-108MHz) with 20 station presets lets you choose from a wide variety of radio, talk, and music programming in your area. The RDP-XF300iP is equipped with an FM telescoping antenna.
Organic LED: The Sony RDP-XF300iP features a front-panel organic LED display to indicate Source mode (iPod/Bluetooth/Aux) and FM station.
IR Remote Control: The included IR remote control provides wireless control over the Sony RDP-XF300iP and your docked iPod, iPhone, or iPad. The remote provides Play/Pause, Skip track (next/previous), Fast Forward/Rewind, and advanced music navigation functions. In addition, the remote provides Bluetooth audio playback control.
Note: In addition to the IR remote control, the RDP-XF300iP provides push-button controls along the top-panel.
Internal Rechargeable Battery: The internal rechargeable nickel hydride battery pack provides up to 7 hours of continuous operation. It will take approximately 6 hours to fully charge the battery.

Considering this was a value choice when I purchased an iPod player, it was worth every penny and an excellent value. Great sound, great portability. Excellent battery life. And since it also has a radio, which many mobile speaker systems lack, it's got versatility too. I love it.
