Tough Walkman!

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I bought one years ago while landscaping and I LOVED it, but it disappeared and when I found one here at Crutchfield I had to get another one and it works great. I tried mp3 players and other models, but came back to the Sony. did you ever notice that whenever something good is made that lasts it gets replaced by a supposed better and less reliable item? Well this one should stay on the market!!

Pros: Very tough, works well and battery life is great.

Cons: Better grade headphones, but there are many out there to choose from. Sound ok, but sort of tinny and for prolonged periods, not as comfortable as they could be, but for the price very good setup.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Made excellent changes over the prior version. Much easier and convenient to use. Better than any other brand I found when searching for a replacement of the previous version.

Pros: Ease of use. All buttons now in more convenient locations and much more simple,

Cons: Earphone cords still twist.

At first I thought the price did not match the product but after dropping it a few times it proved it's ruggedness. The quality of the sound matched my expectation, clear and noise free. Took a little time to get used to the controls without looking; no problem now. A true value product.

Cons: Belt attachment a little difficult to use.

I think the radio is great, however, I sometimes have to struggle with the "power on".

It's OK

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

This product is ok, but there are some things that bother me with it: 1) the volume dial is a bad design. It's too easy to accidentally move the dial and blast your ears especially if you are on move like jogging or even gardening 2) the size could be smaller since it is only radio 3) headphones are an old design

There are some pro's: 1) inexpensive 2) picks up our local radio stations well 3) uses only one battery

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Good radio but the FM tuner is not nearly as refined as the older SRF M78. Mid FRQ bleed all over each other. My M78 was clean and clear. Maybe it is just this particular unit. I live in a remote area, all stations are 40 miles away or more so it's not a proximity issue.

Other then that this it is a nice receiver, but I don't think I would buy this again if this FRQ problem is built into all of them .

good product for the money

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I bought this radio to help me pass the time when I walk each day. I'm very impressed with it. It holds the stations well and is small enough to fit into my jacket or pants pocket. Controls are easy manipulate without looking. Overall, a very good buy.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

With the popularity of MP3's and iPod's this portable radio more than holds it's own. It has a strong signal inside and out. Very easy to operate. Many user friendly features and accessories. This is a must have radio for someone on the go. A good compliment to outside exercise and work.
