Analog-to-HDMI conversion allows you to send all of your older video sources to an HDMI-capable TV using a single digital cable. Just plug in the included microphone, place it in your favorite seat, and the 'DG1200 automatically adjusts the volume and delay settings for each speaker in your system. The result is precise, well-balanced home theater sound, custom-tailored for your specific room and speakers. An on-screen menu system offers simple, straightforward operation. Its polished interface features easy-to-use menus that don't block the entire TV picture — allowing you to control receiver functions on-screen while still viewing your programs. The learning/multibrand remote provides easy control of all your components.

The STR-DG1200's Digital Media Port lets you play music stored on your iPod® or PC when you connect an optional Sony iPod dock or wireless PC music player. This receiver is also XM Ready and compatible with XM's HD surround music channels. Or add an optional SiriusConnect™ home tuner kit to enjoy SIRIUS satellite programming.
