Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

The adapter does what it's suppose to do. No idea why you would want to use the cradle but it's there if you want it. The setup is easy although it's silly to have to go to the Sony site and register the product before it will work. These things should be just plug 'n play. The pricing is ridiculous which I assume is because Sony won't let you use just any old adapter. The whole idea of labeling a device "wifi ready" but really meaning it's not "ready" until you buy additional hardware is a scam pure and simple. I'm surprised lawsuits haven't been won on this matter. Still, once installed the adapter works well and Crutchfield delivery was timely (a day early actually).

Pros: Once installed works well. Crutchfield's delivery was perfect.

Cons: Pricing is ridiculous for such a simple device. Sony's deceptive advertising should be litigated.

Very ez to setup was watching Hulu PLus in minutes!. Crutchfield has the lowest price on this planet for this product! Fast & effortless transaction!

Pros: None! Works very well!

Cons: I bought my sony blu-ray player thinking it had a wireless lan card built into the player because on the box it said wireless. Later I found that I needed this Sony UWA-BR100 adapter after already purchasing a usb type adapter that didn't work. So dont think that any network adapter will work.

Arrived on-time. Hooked it up to a Sony BDP-S470 wireless ready blu-ray player. Had problems initially setting it up but a call to Sony Customer Assistance cleared it up (I was the problem). Has worked flawlessly since...........

Pros: Came with a 3' extension cable which I recommend using. Fast, does not drop the wireless..........ever.

Cons: A bit pricey for what it is..........

Enables wifi on Sony TVs and works ok. But Apple TV costs very little more, and works so much better - so get an Apple TV.

Pros: enables wifi on Sony TVs/DVDs

Cons: Web browser is pretty lame. Apple TV is far better.

Great, worked exactly as I needed

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Works well through my blu ray player. Only dissatisfaction is when trying to watch a movie (i.e.: free movies from Crackle) too many hang-ups, commercials and time consuming. Took me almost 4 hrs. to watch a 2 hr. movie. Too many 10 min. sections dividing movies and too long uploading each 10-12 min. sections. Haven't tried buying movies yet.

Pros: Easy set up (if you know your electronics. I buy from Crutchfield first because they are trusted and always on time with their shipments. Never had any problem with Crutchfield.

Cons: Too many hang-ups when trying to watch something

As easy as 1 2 3.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I bought this here at crutchfield, I buy everything from them, the adapter cost me less than others when everyone else still wants $79 for it. it was very easy to set up, I used the blu ray instead of hooking it up to my TV, I have a nice sony 55 inch LED and I rather take my chances hooking up to the blu-ray incase something went wrong. I have hooked up wired before to the tv and then the blu-ray and for some reason the signal came in nicer from the Blu-ray to the TV instead of when I had it hooked up directly to the TV, seems strange but maybe cause the signal comes into the Blu-ray then sends it up to the TV with the HDMI cable which makes it better. the faster your internet the connection the better and I recently installed the linksys e4200 which give out maximum signals. I use DSL and it still looks great. anyone buying from crutchfield for the 1st time, if you have any problems dont be afraid to call them, they are the smartest and freindliest people I ever dealt with. They will help you to the max.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

So, it does what it says, and for a somewhat high price. In my worthless opinion Sony should just have this built in and raise the price point. It's 2011 and most everyone has the need for connectivity amongst their devices without a weird dongle being the bridge. Remember the Quark dongle? Fail. Anyway, my main gripe about this dongle is that it will not recognize a hidden SSID. Why Sony, why? I live in a large building and I want the tiny extra bit of security by not broadcasting my network name. Now, in order to use this one device, I have to. This device is making me bend to it's rules, and to me that's a major flaw.

We purchased this device so that we could start a NetFlix subscription. The Sony UWA-BR100 Wireless network adapter was very easy to setup and works flawlessly with our Sony Blu ray dvd player. The transaction and shipping from Crutchfield was also very fast. This was my first shopping experience with Crutchfield, but based upon this positive experience I am confident that I will be a repeat customer.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I just bought a Sony Bravia flat screen TV and needed a wi-fi adaptor in order to download netlfix and other internet programs. I decided to buy this specific Sony product so compatibility would not be an issue. It works great and I like that it hides discretely behind my TV so that no wires or hardware stick out. I thought this product was a little pricey though.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

The Sony USB Wireless Lan Adapter (WABR100) was the one required for my new Blue Ray Disc player. One would think the setup would be easier, with speicific instructions. It was not easy or obvious. I tried 20 or 30 times to contact support at Sony and at Crutchfield but received a busy signal over the period of four days of trying. Apparently, other purchasers were having equal problems. Finally, I accidentally found the one field into which I had to enter a value -- guessing at the value -- and it worked. Since then I have enjoyed a perfectly working system -- of which the Lan Adapter is the primary key. I am disappointed in the instructions from Sony for poor instructions after requiring a certain/specific and expensive piece of equipment. If you buy this product, be prepared for a period of discouragement and frustration, until you find that one needle in the haystack of setup fields.
