You can choose from thousands of colors for the display.

Cutting edge smartphone integration

If you've got a smartphone, you know it has a lot more going for it than just Bluetooth, and with the WX-GT90BT you can tap into some of your phone's many capabilities. Sony's App Remote feature turns smartphone interactivity into a two-way street. With your phone's touchscreen, you can do things like selecting sources, picking radio stations, and launching apps. From your Sony receiver, you can select apps using the stereo's source button, the same way you'd choose the CD player or radio as your source. And, with your Android™ phone paired up, this receiver will read any incoming text messages out loud, so you can keep your eyes on the road..

Great sound at the heart of it all

The features are fun, but you'll really appreciate this Sony if you care about sound quality. The WX-GT90BT features an impressive array of sound-shaping tools, including a 7-band EQ, digital time alignment for a perfect stereo "sweet spot," and frequency filters that'll make your speaker setup shine. And Sony's powerful Digital Reality amp, noted for its solid sound output and realistic audio reproduction, will drive your speakers with crisp authority.

More ways to enjoy your tunes

Pop in a CD, plug your iPhone® or iPod® into the USB input, or browse your favorite Pandora® Internet radio stations from the receiver's controls — you've got plenty of options. And you can add on a SiriusXM tuner (subscription required), if you want to experience an unparalleled variety of news, talk, sports, and music.

Want to keep your steering wheel controls?

In most cars, you'll need an adapter to retain those controls with this car stereo. Connect a few wires, then program the adapter for your particular car and radio, and you'll retain the convenience of your steering wheel controls. You'll see the adapters that work with your vehicle when you add this receiver to your cart.

Note: Bluetooth compatibility of this device may vary, depending on your phone and service provider.

iPod note: If you're going to use your iPod with this receiver, be sure to check "Details" for specific iPod model compatibility with this receiver or its optional iPod adapter.

    Built-in Bluetooth

Bluetooth Technology: The Sony WX-GT90BT is equipped with built-in Bluetooth (version 2.1 + EDR), allowing you to make and receive phone calls wirelessly through the receiver; as well as stream music wirelessly from your smartphone to the head unit. In order to use Bluetooth wireless technology, your phone must also be Bluetooth compatible and be able to interpret certain profiles. This unit is compatible with the following Bluetooth Profiles:

    • Hands-Free Communication: HFP (Hands Free Profile), PBAB (Phone Book Access Profile).
    • Audio Streaming: A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile), AVRCP (Audio/Video Remote Control Profile).
Note: Due to the differences in Bluetooth technology, some Bluetooth enabled devices may be incompatible, function improperly, or may not support all features when used with the Sony WX-GT90BT. Please visit Sony eSupport for a complete list of compatible Bluetooth enabled phones.

Pairing: Up to 9 phones or audio devices can be registered with the WX-GT90BT (only one device can be used at a time). The unit can be set to automatically reconnect to the last connected Bluetooth device when the ignition is turned on.

Hands-Free Communication: The Sony WX-GT90BT supports Bluetooth hands-free communication for your Bluetooth enabled cell-phone. Bluetooth hands-free communication helps to minimize distraction while driving by allowing you to control your mobile phone from the head unit, so you don't have to touch your mobile phone. The controls of the WX-GT90BT can be used to dial a number, answer an in-coming call, or end a call. The unit also features an external microphone (featuring adjustable gain), so you can carry on your side of the conversation while listening to the caller through your vehicles speakers. During a conversation, you can switch between the Private Mode (talking directly on your cell phone) and the Hands Free Mode.

    • Answering Calls: Incoming calls can be answered manually or automatically (between 3-10 seconds) through the Sony head unit, while the ring tone is output from your car speakers and the caller's name or phone number is displayed on the head unit's LCD. Incoming calls can also be rejected if desired.
    • Dialing a Number: Using the WX-GT90BT , you can dial a phone number in one of the following ways.
      • Entering Phone #: Allows you to manually dial a phone number using the unit's control dial.
      • Redial: Use to easily redial the last number you called.
      • Preset Dial: You can store up to 6 contacts in the preset dial for quick dialing.
      • Phone Book: You can store up to 1,000 contacts in the unit's phone book. Up to a 40 character name can be input for each contact.
      • Call History: The unit will store the last 20 calls, allowing you to select a previous phone number quickly from the list.
      • Voice Dial: You can make a call using the voice tags stored on your connected cellular phone.

External Microphone: The WX-GT90BT includes an external microphone to carry on your side of your phone conversation and voice command dialing. The external wired microphone offers improved audio quality versus an integrated microphone, so you can be heard easier over noisy traffic and road noise. You can adjust the level of the microphone without affecting the other sources. The external microphone features an attached 12' cable terminated by a right-angle 3.5mm connector which plugs into the mic input on the rear-panel of the head unit. The microphone comes with a mounting bracket which can be clipped to your vehicle's sun-visor or taped to your dash. The external microphone measures 0.465" (diameter) x 1.425" (depth). There is no integrated front-panel mic.

SMS Indicator: The SMS indicator informs you of any incoming or unread SMS messages on your paired Bluetooth-enabled smartphone. You will still need to view the text message from your phone, as well as create and send text messages from your phone.

Wireless Audio Streaming (w/ Meta Data Display): The Sony WX-GT90BT also supports wireless audio playback (AD2P) and control (AVRCP) of a Bluetooth enabled audio player or smartphone. The WX-GT90BT will be able to control your stored music's basic playback functions; such as Play/Pause, Previous/Next Track, Fast-Forward/Reverse, and Shuffle/Repeat. The head unit will also display your stored music's song information; such as Artist name, Song title, and Album label. The WX-GT90BT also supports audio streaming of music apps, but without control or metadata. You will continue to use your Bluetooth enabled smartphone to view and control streaming music apps. When an incoming call or outgoing call is in progress from your Bluetooth enabled mobile phone, audio streaming will be paused so you can take your call. Once the call is finished, your streaming music will resume.

Siri Digital Assistant Control: When paired and connected with an iPhone 4S/5 via Bluetooth (not USB), the Sony WX-GT90BT has the ability to access Siri through its front-panel control and external microphone. Simply activate the "voice dial" function on the WX-GT90BT to engage Siri and use the included microphone to communicate with Siri. Siri's voice will heard through your vehicle's speakers. All Siri functions including hands-free calling, music search, setting reminders, text-messaging, audible navigation, and more can be done through the head unit and its microphone. The head unit will only display hands-free calling and Bluetooth audio information (all other functions of Siri are only audible through the WX-GT90BT; visual data will still need to be viewed from your iPhone device).

Note: You can ask Siri to get directions to a destination and the turn-by-turn instructions will heard through your vehicle's speakers, while the on-screen map still displays on your iPhone 4S/5. The head unit's audio is attenuated while Siri provides audible directions.
    Disc & USB Playback

Copyright protected ACC-LC files cannot be played back.

Dynamic Reality Amp: The WX-GT90BT is equipped with Sony's Dynamic Reality Amp to produce 3-dimensional sound staging for more realistic sound inside your vehicle.

CEA2006 Compliant Amplifier: The power specifications for the Sony WX-GT90BT are compliant with the CEA2006 Mobile Amplifier Power Testing and Measurement standards from the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA). These standards were developed as a way to equitably compare power specs from model to model and between manufacturers. The power output specs for the WX-GT90BT are as follows:

    • Continuous Power Output: 17 watts RMS x 4 channels (at 4 ohms, 20Hz-20kHz, 1% THD-N)
    • Peak Power Output: 52 watts x 4-channels (208 total watts)

2V/6Ch Preamp Outputs: The WX-GT90BT features front, rear and subwoofer 2-volt preamp outputs. The front and rear speaker preamp outputs are balance and fade adjustable. The subwoofer preamp output is non-fading. The front, rear, and subwoofer preamp outputs are fixed to the rear chassis of the head unit.

Subwoofer Controls: The subwoofer preamp output features a low pass filter with a selectable cut-off frequency of 50Hz, 60Hz, 80Hz, 100Hz, 120Hz, or Off. You can also adjust the slope (1/2/3) of the low-pass crossover. You can adjust the subwoofer preamp output's volume level independently from the head unit's volume control from -10 to +10 in 1dB increments. In addition, you can select the phase of the subwoofer output from Normal or Reverse.

Subwoofer Direct Connection: You can connect a subwoofer to this head unit without the need of a separate power amplifier. Simply connect a single subwoofer (4-8 ohm) directly to head unit's left or right rear speaker leads (but not both). Same subwoofer controls apply.

High-Pass Filter: The front & rear speaker outputs offer a selectable high-pass crossover frequency of 50Hz, 60Hz, 80Hz, 100Hz, 120Hz, or Off. You can also adjust the slope (1/2/3) of the high-pass crossover.

Advanced Sound Engine: Sony's Advanced Sound Engine creates an ideal in-car sound field with digital signal processing. Advanced Sound Engine contains the following features: EQ7, Listening Position, DM+ Advanced, Rear Bass Enhancer, & Dynamic Loudness.

    • EQ7: You can select an equalizer curve from eight music types - Xplod, Vocal, Edge, Cruise, Space, Gravity, Custom, or Off (Flat). The Custom EQ7 mode allows you to make your own equalizer settings. You can adjust the level (+/-6dB) of seven different frequency bands - Band1 (63Hz), Band2 (160Hz), Band3 (400Hz), Band4 (1kHz), Band5 (2.5khz), Band6 (6.3khz), and Band7 (16.0kHz).
    • Listening Position: This unit can change the localization of sound by delaying the sound output from each speaker to suit your position, and simulate a natural sound field with the feeling of being in the center of it wherever you sit in the car. You can choose from Front Right, Front Left, Front Center, or Off. You can also set the subwoofer distance of the subwoofer to Near, Normal, or Far
    • RBE (Rear Bass Enhancer): RBE enhances the bass sound by applying the low-pass filter setting to the rear speakers. This function allows the rear speakers to work as a subwoofer even if there is no subwoofer connected.
    • Dynamic Loudness: Dynamic Loudness refers to compensating for volume level & signal gain.
    • DM+ Advanced: DM+ Advanced improves digitally compressed sound by restoring high frequencies lost in the compression process (works only for USB).

Automatic Level Optimizer: Automatic Level Optimizer analyzes each track's playback level & adjusts the output level to optimize transitions between tracks & sources.

Beep Tone: The in-dash head unit provides an audible beep to confirm button operation. This function can be turned On or Off.

2-DIN Chassis: The Sony WX-GT90BT has a 2-DIN chassis (also known as "Double-DIN"), and will fit in many vehicles with a large dash opening. The unit can be ISO-mounted using factory brackets. There is no mounting sleeve included. As always, please consult Crutchfield's Outfit My Car to verify fit with your vehicle.

Dynamic Color Illuminator (35,000 colors): Dynamic Color Illuminator lets you match the head unit's LCD & button illumination to complement your existing vehicle lighting components. With selectable Sound Synchronization, the timing of the color change is synchronized with the audio source. You can select from 12 preset colors (red/amber/m-amber/yellow/white/light green/green/light blue/sky blue/blue/purple/pink), customized color, & 5 preset patterns (rainbow/ocean/sunset/forest/random). The unit's Dynamic Color Illuminator offers the following advance features.

    • Day/Night Color Mode: You can register a customize color for the unit's display and buttons for day & night time driving.
    • Sound Synchronization: The color changes according to synchronization of playing music. When you select a preset pattern sound synchronization becomes effective.
    • White Menu: You can display the menu more clearly (White text) without concern for the unit's other color settings.
    • Start White: When you power-on the head unit, the color of the unit's display and buttons turn white and then the color changes to your chosen customize color. You can enjoy this effect whenever the source is turned on.

Motion Display: This feature shows moving patterns and a spectrum analyzer on the display when turned on.

Auto Scroll: This feature allows long displayed items to scroll automatically across the display when the track is changed on a disc.

Display Illumination/Clock Display: Pressing the Source/Off button once will switch sources. Pressing and holding the Source/Off button for one second will turn off audio output, but the clock display and button illumination remain on. To turn the unit off completely, you must press and hold the Source/Off button for two seconds.

Dimmer: To change the brightness of the display you can set the WX-GT90BT to one of three dimmer modes; Dimmer Auto (dims the display automatically when you turn your vehicle's lights on), Dimmer Off (deactivates the dimmer), and Dimmer On (display always dim).

Auto Off: When installing in a vehicle without an accessory power wire at the radio location, you can set the unit to turn off all lighting a set amount of time after you turn the power off. The Auto Off feature can be set to 30 seconds, 30 minutes, 60 minutes, or No.

Demo Mode: The head unit's demo mode can be turned On or Off.

    Remote Control

App Remote Technology (for iPhone & Android): Sony's App Remote Technology offers two-way communication between the Sony WX-GT90BT and your USB-connected iPhone (iOS 5+) or Bluetooth-connected Android smartphone (2.1/2.2/2.3/4.0/4.1). You will need to download the free Sony App Remote application from the Apple App Store or the Google Play App Store. This application integrates compatible Apple iOS and Android apps into the selectable source list of the Sony CD receiver and lets you launch apps from the head unit. You can operate basic functionality of compatible audio apps directly from the receiver (operation differs depending on the app). Movie and navigation apps will continue to be controlled from your smartphone. In addition, you can control the receiver's sources directly from the application on your smartphone using simple finger gestures and see detailed source information on the phone's touchscreen.

    • Receiver Sources: The App Remote on your iPhone or Android smartphone lets you access the head unit's Tuner (AM/FM), CD, iPhone, Bluetooth, and Aux sources from your phone's touchscreen. You can use finger gestures to tap, flick left/right, or flick up/down on the phone's touchscreen in order to change AM/FM Band, Play/Pause a track, Seek Up/Down a track or station, select a Preset, or access an Album. You will also be able to see song/artist information from MP3/WMA/AAC and smartphone sources, as well as station identification numbers from AM/FM radio.
    • Compatible Apps (as of 12/5/2012): The App Remote also provides various music, movie, and navigation apps which can be accesses from the Sony WX-GT90BT 's source list. Available operation differs depending on the application.
      • Music Apps: Music apps include; Pandora, AUPEO!, iHeartRadio, MOG, and TuneIn. The head unit only provides basic playback functions (Play/Pause, Skip Track, or Next Station) and no song/artist information for these music apps.
      • Movie Apps: Movie apps include; HBO GO, Hulu Plus, Netflix, YouTube and more. Video will be displayed on your smartphone's screen, while the audio plays through your vehicle's speakers. You can control Play/Pause from the WX-GT90BT . Other playback functions will need to done on your smartphone. Subscription may be required. You should not watch videos while your vehicle is in motion.
      • Navigation Apps: Supported navigation apps include Apple Maps, Google Maps, Waze, and MotionX GPS Drive. The map screen will display on your smartphone's touchscreen, while audible directions can be heard through your vehicle's speakers. You can continue to listen to music while navigating; the unit will attenuate your music during a navigation voice-prompt. Control of the navigation apps will still be done through your smartphone's touchscreen. Fees may apply for some navigation apps & functions.
    • Bluetooth SMS (Android only): In addition to hands-free calling and music control using Bluetooth technology, App Remote enables the car receiver to automatically read text messages (SMS) when the feature is turned on (your Android smartphone must have TTS Engine installed).
Note: Access to the music, movie, and navigation apps will depend on the availability of a cellular and/or WiFi network for purposes of allowing your iPhone to connect to the Internet.

Wireless Remote Control: The head unit comes supplied with an IR wireless remote control (RM-X211) for easy operation. The included wireless remote allows you to control the basic functions of the Sony head unit while keeping your eyes on the road.

Steering Wheel Remote Compatibility: The head unit features an OEM steering wheel remote control input on the rear of the unit that lets you keep your vehicle's factory radio steering wheel remote controls when used with an optional steering wheel audio control adapter (sold separately). Please consult Crutchfield's Outfit My Car to see if your vehicle is compatible.

    Q
Does anyone else have a problem with bluetooth telephone call only coming through on one speaker? iPhone 6plus, if I do a hands-free call, my left speaker cuts in and out and get static. Music plays fine from phone via bluetooth, phone works handsfree via bluetooth to other speakers/car head units. Is this just a defective head unit?

While I no longer have the car into which I installed this head unity, I didn't have any problems with mine. I used it with an Android phone -- a Galaxy Note 3. I'm not sure that would make a difference in the channels. I would assume your head unit is faulty.

is there a mounting bracket or cage for this radio? that will fit in a Newmar Canyon Star Motor home
    parts advisor  Feb 01, 2016
    2 answers
    A
Dash mount kits, when available, are made for specific vehicle models. At this time, we do not have any pre-fabricated dash mount kits for motor homes. The stereo does not come with a cage or mounting bracket of it's own but it is a standard "double DIN" chassis size (4" tall x 7" wide). I hope that helps! Q
What does the Automatic Level Optimizer (ALO) do? Does it operate like compression, minimizing the decibel range of a piece of music by boosting soft passages and putting a limiter on the louder passages, or does it simply raise the overall volume automatically (similar to turning the volume knob up)? I listen to a lot of classical music, where there is extreme volume changes from one minute to the next in the same piece of music. Will this compensate for that, enabling you to hear the quiet parts better in a loud vehicle? Also, does this feature work only for CDs, or digital music, or both?
    frank  Aug 02, 2015
    1 answer
    A
I forwarded your question to an Advisor and they responded with the following: Yes, the ALO feature is a form of compression that reduces the dynamic range so that you can hear the quiet passages in some music, especially classical music. The setting applies to all sources including CDs, radio and digital tracks from iOS and USB devices. If you would like to discuss further you can contact an Advisor directly by phone (1-800-324-9695) or online chat.

Should be. I have hooked up iPhone 4,5s, 6, droid razr m, droid turbo, and even my tablet. As long as it has Bluetooth you should be ready to rock. Just select Bluetooth pairing on the head unit and search for the device on your phone. I like the hands free calling I get from it as well. Just a tip make sure you turn WiFi off when paired otherwise the tracks skip. The phone will try to connect to nearby WiFi signals and make the soung bounce all over. It's annoying but can be remedied by turning the WiFi off. I have owned this exact car radio for almost 3 years now with no hiccups. Great head unit.

I have an S3 and have no problems with any of the functions of the Sony. The Bluetooth works great with Pandora and IHeart radio and you can easily make calls and receive them. Sony has an app you may want that works well. I imagine the S6 would work fine being a newer model. I would buy again. I hope this helps.

Yes. Mine would give me a warning when it connected but it always worked. I did prefer to use Sony's "app remote" app from the play store (free) as opposed to the built in Samsung apps. It's a pretty good unit for the price. I did not like my s6 though and I'm in to a different phone now, hence the past tense.

I think so, but don't really remember for sure. Sorry to be vague on this but I traded the vehicle that this radio was in some months ago so can't verify it. What I do remember is that there were a bewildering and, seemingly endless, number of user selected options for the display, and I never found the display overpowering or annoying at night. Best thing about the WX GT90BT is the receive sensitivity which makes it capable of pulling in stations with a weak signal - important for anyone who lives in the mountains as I do.
    john  Feb 18, 2015

Hi. If it has such a wire, I didn't hook it up. Because my car's dimmer is independent of the unit. But, the radio has it's own integrated dimmer feature. Hope this helps.
    charles t  Feb 18, 2015

Yes it does. As long as your car has a dimmer switch and you make sure you connect the right wires (especially if you use an adapter) it should work fine.

    Q
I bought one of these in December, and it's been working great. Aside from one thing: when using Google Maps for directions, the only way to hear the instructions from the iPhone is if the receiver is set to "Bluetooth audio." You can't use any other settings and hear the directions from the iPhone. Same with the feature that notifies you of email or text message - it only functions when the receiver is set to "Bluetooth audio." So the iPhone integration is only functional in one mode. Is there something we are doing wrong? Or is this simply the way this radio works?

does this unit play any audio source? I like to use my GPS on my phone or my SiriusXM phone ap rather than buying a SiriusXM adapter. The description of this item lists a few aps such as pandora. I'm wondering if other audio aps will work.

The only integrated app is Pandora. The integrated app adds some functionality like being able to thumbs up/down using the head unit. But anything you play on your mobile device will play through the head unit via Bluetooth connection. You won't have the same control as Pandora, but some functions will still work like pause and skip forward and backwards. Changing of the SiriusXM channel would have to be done on the mobile device.

    scott  Oct 23, 2014

No, it only has a solid blue wire for power antenna or amplifier turn-on. Some of today's smart amplifiers can be turned on by other inputs or signals and don't need to rely on a single blue turn-on wire.
    eric  Nov 04, 2014
    A
Yes, the Blue w/ white stripe wire is a remote turn on output for an external amplifier. Some head units also have a separate power antenna wire, which you will need to get any reception if your factory antenna is powered.

I have never tried to charge my Samsung Galaxy S4 from the USB port. However I have plugged in other USB Mp3 players and they have charged while playing. Not very fast, but they haven't lost any battery power.

Sadly the USB port does not have the required amperage to charge mobile devices. it does put out the required 5 volts to power memory sticks et al. But it doesnt carry more than like 20 miliamps. this small amount of power is just to signal your devices like phones that there is an interface taking place and is a signal to "handshake" digitaly and sync up. With that said this is an amazing stereo that not only looks and sounds great but also has a lot of flexibility in being able to tailor your system depending on your taste in sound. I would buy this stereo again

I used the rca jacks to connect to my 4 channel amp, easy. my 4 ch amp has built in crossover. next I used the woofer output jack to run my sub amp. sony has built in crossover in deck, easy stuff. you can run directly from deck to speakers, but it's only 50 amps x 4

If you're referring to the small blue paddle control to the immediate left of the SiriusXM label, that is the display toggle. Each time you press it, the display advances to the next category of information: Sirius channel number, Channel name, Artist, Title, etc...

I have a convertible and I was wondering if the display is as hard to see in the day as stated in some reviews?
    dan  Jul 05, 2014

    A
Absolutely not, I have a Mazda Miata convertible with a Sony radio using the same display and I have never had a problem seeing the display. Besides it has countless colors that it can display and you can easily have it randomly rotate or find the color that suits you best. Keep in mind a person driving a convertible should always wear eye protection. My glasses change with the intensity of the sun and have glare reducing, polarizing filters on the lenses.
    eric  Nov 05, 2014
    A
I can speak to the clarity of the display. I don't have a convertible but I returned this Sony radio because the Sirius radio display of the channel info is truncated (shortened) and is hard to read. I installed a JVC DVD with Sirius with a 6.1 inch screen which is very easy to read in large font. The issue of daylight illumination may still be an issue however. Think of a digital camera and trying to see the LCD display in sunlight. You may have the same issue that the display is hard to see but the JVC will be much brighter and easier to see than the Sony. There is a variable brightness control in the JVC screen that may help also. Good luck!

While I don't own a convertible, I do open my sunroof quite a bit (here in sunny Florida) and haven't ever had any issues seeing the display. The unit has brightness settings and if the user doesn't adjust it to a high setting, then they could have difficulty.
    brian  Jul 06, 2014

Hi Dan, I must admit that the display is difficult to read in the morning when the sun shines directly into the cabin. The glossy face reflects any colors from inside the car and thus you can't see the display. Probably not good for a convertable because you well have sun lighting up the inside of your car all the time.

Hi Dan, I apologize, but the link in the email I had received from Crutchfield directed me to a unit that I DO NOT OWN. I had purchased the Sony unit you have asked about, but was dissatisfied w/ certain features and had returned it a long time ago. Apparently Crutchfield's "ask a question feature" does not take this scenario into account. Anyway, my first response was based upon the JVC KW-R900BT, which I currently own. Sorry for any confusion.

Hi Dan, I have not had any problem with the unit resuming what it was playing last when I hang up from a call. The only issue I have, is that it sometimes takes an abnormal amount of time to resume playing my Ipod, whenever I switch to or turn the Ipod source on. Sometimes the delay is close to 30 seconds, but so far, it always eventually starts playing fine. Otherwise, I have been very happy w/ this unit. Hope this helps w/ your decision

Hi Dan. I just tried this in my car using my wife's phone to be sure about my answer. Using FM radio, usb, and streaming from my phone the unit returns to what was playing when I received a call. The Sony has been a great addition to my vehicle. Just touch the call button to answer and touch it again to end and unit returns to previous function. Good luck.

No. Picks up where it was.
    paul  Jul 06, 2014
    A
That is incorrect.. The audio returns to whatever was playing when you made/tanswered the call. Actually, and I just noticed this the other day and haven't really proven it to myself yet, but I think that the CD actually pauses and then resumes right where it left off. (I listen to a lot of bluegrass and sometimes it's hard to tell one from the other). I have been well satisfied with the Sony. The only problem that I see is the small buttons issue which has been noted by others and I knew before I made the purchase. Not a big deal but it is easy to hit the wrong preselect.
    john  Jul 06, 2014
    A
Yes and no. If you make a call from the radio using the call button it will leave the radio on the phone mode. If you instead make the call from the phone or it is an incoming call the radio will revert back to what it was doing before the call. I think the problem is that when you use the call button it firat switches you to the call mode so when the call ends the last used mode is calling.

The lpf (low pass filter) and hpf (high pass filter) functions are the different levels for the filter. Controls how much high and low end you want to filter out to the speakers. Sub 1,2 and 3 are just different aspects for the sub output. Best thing to do is just play around with the different settings and see what sounds best to you.

Yes, both actually. When you turn the radio off the first time, the clock stays on; however, you can go one step further and shut power to the whole radio (with no clock) if you wish. It's a solid radio and I love the bluetooth feature. Good luck, Brian K.

The source button turns off the radio. If you hold it for a short time, the radio will turn off, but the time is still on. The unit comes with a microphone and wire attached that is long enough to mount it where you need it. I mounted it above the instrument cluster and it works beautifully. Compatibility will depend on the version of Android your phone is running. Sony's App Remote Technology offers two-way communication between the Sony WX-GT90BT and your Bluetooth-connected Android smartphone (2.1/2.2/2.3/4.0/4.1). You will need to download the free Sony App Remote application from the Google Play App Store. This application integrates compatible Android apps into the selectable source list of the Sony CD receiver and lets you launch apps from the head unit. For more details please feel free to reach out to an Advisor by phone or chat.

I just purchased this unit to replace the factory unit in my 07 F-150. It came without XM. What all is needed to add XM to this unit?

You can add SiriusXM to this unit with the SiriusXM SXV200V1 Tuner. Feel free to reach out to an Advisor by phone or chat for more details on how this would connect to you receiver.

    Q
Does this unit have a tuner controlled power antenna output? Or does it just have the "amp turn-on" output used for both amp and power antenna?

Thanks for your question Jere. The connection for the power antenna would be the amp turn-on/power antenna connection, and not a separate connection
