About the Sony XAR800C

Ken Nail

No more inching back out of a shopping center parking space while you check for pedestrians. Put your car in reverse, and this XAR800C rear-view camera will display what's behind you on the screen of your Sony video receiver. The camera offers an extremely wide view of what's behind you and off to each side — a big plus when you're backing out of a driveway with a limited view. This camera is compatible with Sony video receivers with a rear-camera input.

Note: A rear-view camera provides an additional view when reversing your vehicle. It is intended to be used in conjuction with your rear- and side-view mirrors to give a fuller picture of what's behind you. It is not intended as a replacement for your mirrors.

I installed this in a 2007 Grand Prix. I had ample length for the cable to route to the stereo unit from the rear license plate frame. I can not give a specific length though.

Q
Can this camera be hooked up with Gentex GENK332 Auto-dimming Mirror with 3.3" Hi-Definition Rear camera Display for my 2008 HONDA CR-V LX? Thank you.

You will want to contact an Advisor by phone or online chat to discuss compatibility with your current system. They will be able to pull up your vehicle and see if this will integrate. If it does not, then they will also be able to discuss other options with you.
