What's the support for Spotify on the screen? Meaning, does it still display artist information/allow user control (i.e. skip track, search songs, pause etc...)

To the best on my knowledge, I no longer own the vehicle that I put this headunit into, it worked perfect. I'm pretty sure it won't display the album art but it will Work in ever other way.

You will want to contact an Advisor by phone (1-800-324-9695) or online chat to discuss compatibility with your factory system. They will be able to pull up your vehicle and see if this will integrate. If it does not, then they will also be able to discuss other options with you.

You can connect you android phone via Bluetooth but that's for streaming music and making/receiving calls. You can't (to my knowledge) interact with android apps like google map or Waz. I believe you need a receiver that includes Android Auto functionality for that.

Are there any plain or non-distracting backgrounds? The green one in the video looks very busy.

    A
There are different color options for the background, but they're all essentially the same pattern. I just chose one that was most subdued. And, most of the time I'm using it, the background isn't even noticeable: Pandora, music on my device, etc. I don't notice the background any more.

There is one photo in the description the has 5 different colors. Those are the only backgrounds that you can use. For the most part they aren't very distracting at all.

    Q
Does the reverse camera display have any guidelines overlay showing how close you are to the objects behind? Or is it just a plain video feed from backup camera with no overlay?

Yes it has green, yellow and red distance lines. Even side lines that are very close to the width of my 99 F250
    jacob  Jan 30, 2017
    A
The Sony unit only posts a general situational awareness message but this is appropriate since the distance guidelines are dependent on the lens of the particular camera you use. Any overlay must be supplied as part of the camera signal, so check to see if any of your camera choices offer the overlay. Mine did.

Yes it has green yellow red guides to assist, but they are dependent on angle at which you set the camera. Remember: image shown is mirrored - can be a little confusing sometimes. But good camera for the price. .

Not to my knowledge. Images 1-7 are accurate, but I think 8-19 have been mistakenly added. I searched other sites, including Sony and did not find similar images. I use my head unit for very limited functionality (Pandora via USB to my iPhone) and have only skimmed the user manual, but I don't believe the detailed vehicle information is displayed. The wiring when connecting the receiver does not indicate detailed information is available either as it's mainly power and speakers - there is not specific wiring that connects to the vehicle's computer system for data.
