Sony's Xplod Specialty Series amps keep the sound strong — all day long! MOSFET power supplies and output stages ensure you'll have a steady stream of power, even when the amp is subjected to high demand. Xplod amps are CEA-2006 compliant so you know the power ratings are a true measure of the amp's performance.
The XM-SD51X subwoofer amplifier puts 250 watts RMS at your disposal (500 watts with a 2-ohm load), plenty of power for a subwoofer or two. The bass boost circuit (0-10 dB at 40 Hz) kicks up the lows when it's needed.A wired remote allows you to control the amp's output level from the driver's seat.
This Class D amp features a subsonic filter, which removes ultra-low frequencies for cleaner performance. The speaker-level inputs allow for easy integration with any system, even a factory radio, while the preamp outputs simplify hooking up an additional amp. The cool gray finish and blue lighting look great, and all four Specialty Series amps (XM-SD22X, XM-SD46X, XM-SD51X, and XM-SD61X) have exactly the same footprint — a nice touch if you're planning a multi-amp installation!
