Maxell Maxlink Memory Card Reader/Writer Reviews
Average Customer Review:
Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)
My Asus ROG laptop would recognize the drive but would not open up the SD card in USB 2.0. In the USB 3.0 slot, the drive would never show up in computer. It would cycle the sounds that play when a USB deice is connected then disconnected. After about 10 minutes of plugging it in various ports, testing the SD card in the laptop's card reader to verify the card was still good, restarting, cursing and complaining to my wife about how cheaply made Maxell and other electronics products are made, I gave up and sat the card reader on the corner of my Lazy boy recliner chair. When I got up, I forgot about it ant it fell to the floor. I thought nothing of it at first. It fell about 2 ft after all. Then I couldn't find my SD card. The SD card contacts/holder that they solder to the board inside had broke off inside of the plastic housing. So...what is a guy to do when his Maxell card reader has eaten his 32 GB Extreme Pro SDHC card after a 2ft tumble onto carpet? I ripped the plastic cover back and reclaimed my card. So, when I say absolute garbage, I mean I put it right where it belonged... In the garbage can!
Pros: I'm having a hard time thinking of any.
Cons: Didn't work. Ate my Extreme Pro card. Serious QC issues. Buyer beware!
