Product Research

Features

Overview: The Maxell CD-330 cassette adapter allows you to play your portable MP3, CD, MD or PC device through your vehicle's cassette receiver.

Loading: The 46" cord is attached to the right side corner of the cassette adapter. The edge of the cassette can be opened to allow you to move the cord from the right side corner to the left side corner, left bottom corner, or right bottom corner. This allows the adapter to fit both front-loading and side-loading cassette players, and adapt the cord to the direction the tape is inserted into the player.

Customer Q&A

Q
will this adapter allow the sound from a sirius radio to come through car speakers if placed in your cassette player?

A
If your Sirius Receiver has a working 1/8" Stereo (Headphone) Jack and your casette deck works, yes it will play through your stereo. For best results, clean the head on the casette deck (I'd use a "cleaner loop tape" and then 180 proof Isopropyl Alcohol on a Q-tip) and DO NOT allow the cord on the adapter to become kinked.

I've used another one for that purpose and yes it did work.

A
It only goes in a casette player.

A
No, only a cassette tape
michael  Dec 22, 2015

If it has a cassette player it will work.

It goes in a cassette deck only. Afaik there is not a similar product for cds since a cf has to spin. If yoy don't have a wired input or a cassette deck you will need to use the fm tuner as your auxilkary input. Ideally find something that physically connects between the antenna and tuner ad this will work much better than simply "transmitting" an fm signal.

No, it isn't for a CD player. It's for cars that still have a cassette deck. And it allows you to use an MP3 player by inserting this product into the cassette player and the other end plugs into your MP3 player. It works great!

No only into a cassette player in your car, lets you listen to a portable CD, MP3, or MiniDisc player through your car's cassette receiver.

Q
What size is the outside of the 3.5mm jack? The hole through my Galaxy S4 Lifeproof case is about 1/4". Will either of these plugs fit? Thank you.

A
Yes the plugs will fit , however the end result will be disappointing. I found that the sound quality was poor with lots of interference leaking in. I abandoned both products in favor of a different technology.
