Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

We are still old school and tape our favorites shows, but it's difficult to purchase 8 hour VHS tapes at any local store anymore. Thankfully I found Crutchfield's website and this is the best deal around! The price was lower than anywhere else I could find on the internet, the order process was easy and because I ordered 10 tapes the shipping was free and they arrived in less than 3 days!! If you're looking for 8 hour VHS tapes, look no further!!

Pros: Low price, easy online checkout and super fast and free shipping

Cons: None

I would do business with them again.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

While it's difficult to get a bad tape these tapes are great for daily recording, which is what I do for everything I watch on TV. Time is valuable and commercials are not, so the Maxells serve my needs.

Pros: Good record quality and durabilty.

Cons: They're not free. :)

Wonderful price for these 8 Hour VCR Tapes

Written by: VR from Pittsburgh, PA on August 11, 2013

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

At first I was not happy with these VCR Tapes. The picture and sound was garbled when I tried to play what I recorded. I tried opening a new tape and running it through FF and RW 3X. The Tapes work good after that. I am happy with these tapes and plan to purchase more of them. The Crutchfield Customer Support team was wonderful to deal with.

Pros: Great price for a hard to get product

Cons: I do have to FF and RW every tape 3x so it will record well.

Maxwell blank VHS tapes

Written by: MarkD from Houston, AL on February 11, 2013

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Your basic blank tape. It does what it is supposed to do. However, you need to FF and RR before first taping to "loosen up" the tape before recording.

Pros: Good name brand, good tape.

Cons: It has been in storage for a while and needs to be run through the VCR a few times.

The Best VHS Tapes

Written by: Gail from Shelby Twp., MI on May 3, 2009

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I totally agree with Susan! These are my favorite tapes too. No other brand comes close to the quality and the tape length is a definite plus. I also use them extensively and am afraid VHS tapes will become obsolete. So, I too plead to Maxell to continue making this tape. And thanks to Crutchfield for selling them at the most reasonable price!

Customer Q&A

Crutchfield asked
Why did you buy this?

I use these for our security vcr's. They are getting harder to come by. I purchased them last time thru Crutchfield and hopefully in another year or two they will still be available. They work well for what I'm using them for. [ Norris  Jan 18, 2016 ]
