Awesome...

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I've installed many radio's in similar cars and never even knew there was an install kit available - the dash hole is the perfect size for a DIN radio and it just slides in using the radio cage to hold it...

However, this kit is amazing! It keeps the radio super tight & straight with no adjusting or fiddling with to get right. Mounting everything is super easy using factory (hidden) holes. Also, very nice for security as getting it out now appears to be nearly impossible! Thanks a lot for this kit it's simply awesome!

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

(1986 Mustang GT)Unfortunately you must remove the factory radio from behind, which is a tedious task. Crutchfied's schematics are a must. Removing the dash support bracket near the driver's knees allows for easy removal once you have the radio detached from the dash. You will also need to trim an 1/8 inch of width from both sides of the factory opening to create enough clearance for a DIN receiver. The pieces provided in Crutchfield's fit-kit are of top quality, very accurately machined, and will result in a factory installed appearance.
