Features

Wireless Transmitter & Mic (for BLX Systems): The Shure BLX2/SM58 wireless transmitter & mic is specifically designed for use with Shure's BLX wireless systems (receivers & bodypacks sold separately). The BLX2/SM58 wireless transmitter & mic has a wireless range up to 300'. Up to 12 BLX wireless systems can operate simultaneously.

Integrated SM58 Mic Capsule: The Shure BLX2/SM58 incorporates Shure's SM58 vocal microphone. This legendary vocal microphone is designed for professional vocal use in live performance, sound reinforcement, and studio recording. Its tailored vocal response for sound is a world standard for singing or speech. A highly effective, built-in spherical filter minimizes wind and breath "pop" noise. A unidirectional (cardioid) pickup pattern isolates the main sound source while minimizing unwanted background noise.

Frequency Bands: This model BLX2/SM58 wireless transmitter & mic works on the H8 (518-542MHz) frequency band. When purchasing separate wireless components, please match their frequency bands to ensure proper system operation. Different Shure BLX wireless systems operate on a variety of frequency bands, including:

  • H8 (518-542MHz)
  • J10 (584-608MHz)
  • K12 (614-638MHz)
  • M15 (662-686MHz)

Battery Powered: The Shure BLX2/SM58 wireless transmitter & mic operates off of two "AA" batteries that can last up to 14 hours.

Microphone Placement: Hold the wireless microphone within 12" from the sound source. For a warmer sound with increased bass presence, move the microphone closer. Do not cover the mic's grille with your hand.
