Shure's BLX2/SM58 microphone/transmitter is part of the BLX family of digital wireless systems. It combines the BLX2 wireless transmitter with Shure's SM58 microphone, featuring the performance of that legendary mic in a simple, easy-to-use wireless package. The BLX2 transmitter automatically links to Shure's BLX4, BLX4R, or BLX88 wireless receivers (not included) for seamless operation. The transmitter boasts an operating range of up to 300 feet and will run for 14 hours on a pair of AA batteries.
When considering a wireless system, you'll want to pick the frequency band with the least interference from local TV stations. Shure's Wireless Frequency Finder will show you the TV stations in your area, along with a list of recommended channels. Choose the frequency band that gives you the most open channels.
