I also wrote number colums and colors on the back side to keep my wiring straight, as I had to run across the room to another wall plate. No issues. Buy a double gang but make sure it is not for new construction. The existing constructions boxes are very easy to install, just make sure your cut into the wall is level. 2 out of 2 people found this helpful Was this review helpful? Crutchfield Customer Review The reviewer purchased this item from us, verified by the email address on the order. Product is great and works as one would expect. It really looks like a professional install when used. Here are some points that may or may not help someone buying this product. Use with typical 2 post electrical box. Obviously you will need to make some changes to the electrical box as running this many cords theough a 2 post isn't very practical. You can get a low voltage box which should have an open back which will make running cables much easier. It should be noted that connection on the back is also banana clip which you can't determine from the picture or description. Also, please note that the connection for powered sub on the back of the plate is coax so, depending on how you wire your sub, you will need some sort of coax to RCA or whatever converter going to the back of the sub. Just call Crutch and their advisors will get you everything you need. They are great. Good luck! 3 out of 3 people found this helpful Was this review helpful? Crutchfield Customer Review The reviewer purchased this item from us, verified by the email address on the order. I needed this item to complete a 5.1 setup with 2 outdoor speakers. After researching & comparing wall plates, I found that no one quite compares to Niles. The wall plate is heavy and sturdy. I connected monster quick lock banana plugs into this unit to make a clean connection. I have not seen any comparable product offered anywhere else. I thought the price was a bit steep for a wall plate, but when you're buying from Crutchfield, the decision is easy - these folks really know how to take care of customer's. What Zappos is to shoes, Crutchfield is to electronics. I am happy with the HTP 7.1, I'm sure if you have a use for it - you will be too. I Just wish this item came in different color options like Gray or Black. 5 out of 5 people found this helpful Was this review helpful? Crutchfield Customer Review The reviewer purchased this item from us, verified by the email address on the order. Well constructed and very solid. The only reason I didn't rate it a 5 is because the subwoofer cable converts to an F style connector on the back of the plate. I know a lot of people use coaxial cable to run the line-level sub signal, but I would prefer to do this via an actual sub cable. I wish Crutchfield would show a view of the back of this product or at least state that the subwoofer output is an F-style connector. 1 out of 1 people found this helpful Was this review helpful?
