The Niles LVW-1 lets you adjust a line-level signal before it reaches your stereo amplifier. It's a great solution for systems where using a speaker-level volume control isn't practical — for example, if the stereo amplifier you're using is too powerful for typical speaker-level volume controls, or if you'd like to control the volume on a pair of powered speakers. And the LVW-1 installs in your wall for a neat, clean look.

Product Highlights:

  • adjusts the line level signal going into a stereo amplifier
  • infinitely variable attenuation
  • female stereo RCA inputs and outputs
  • 2-13/16"W x 4-5/16"H x 2-1/2"D
  • warranty: 10 years
  • Our 60-day money-back guarantee

Great workin volme control

Written By edgar, anaheim on Monday, June 11, 2012

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I send audio via a cat5e distributor to a room about 130 ft away. on the end is a balum that outputs audio and in between speakers and balum i placed this volume control. It sounds great. the balum is a hig fidfelity audio output and the speakers have a high fidfelity sound as well. the audio sounds nice crisp, clear and no ground problems at all. everything is at it should be. the product is high quality. the sodering is just enough, all metal, easy to install. even the RCA connections are gold plated. great piece. if u need to place an in wall RCA volume control in between an audio signal path, look no further.

Pros: all metal, gold plated contacts, great paint job, no messy sodering, sturdy circuit board

Cons: a bit on pricey side, need about 2.75 to 3 inches of depth.
