Have you ever wanted to use more than one cassette deck, but you didn't have enough inputs and outputs? The Niles TSB-3 lets you connect multiple cassette decks to your home receiver off a single input and output. This compact table-top switcher has gold-plated connections for up to three decks, so you can play, record or dub from any deck. You can even record from one tape deck to another!

  • rotary switch selectors
  • gold-plated RCA connections
  • 3 tape inputs and ouputs
  • 7-1/8"W x 2-9/16"H x 5-3/4"D
  • warranty: 10 years

This is what I needed for my two RTR's and CD-RW, now I can play/record without the Y cables. The price on the unit to me was a little high but I paid for it, no regrets at this time. I enjoy working with Crutchfield and the folks there.

Great source switcher box!

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I had more reel to reel and cassettte decks than I had recordable outputs on my amp. I found myself swapping RCA plugs all the time. (not very good) I purchased this switch box, set it up in about 10 minutes and I was recording from the amp to all decks, plus able to dub from one to the other. One thing to pay attention to, is read the the hookup instructions or at least look at the pictures in the manual. The input from your deck goes to the output of the switch box and the output of the deck goes to the input on the box. That may seem normal but it is the opposite to how you would hookup your deck directly to the amp. The input and output of the amp. will hook up to the switch box the same as normal. I hope this does not confuse the reader but if you hook them up wrong you can cause a loop feedback in your amp. The switch box is a great unit and does not require any outside power source. I found no loss of db going through the Niles switch box. I'm thinking of buying another and get even more decks. (I hope my wife doesn't read this) Great unit at any price.

I'm into audio have been for over 30 years and definately prefer the warm sound of analog be it vinyl or reel to reel and yes I have CD's. Pecently I located a pristine Nakamichi Dragon Cassette Deck to compliment my REVOX B77. Unfortunately unlike most 2 channel preamps my Rotel preamp/processor only has one set of tape in/outputs. When I found the Niles TSB-1 was estatic. I bought my first Niles sound distribtion product over 20 years ago and today use a Niles SSVC-4 speaker selector and an HK Citation 16 dual monoblock amp to run 3 sets of speakers through the preamp's zone 2 output. The TSB-1 is clean, the switching options provide all the choices an old analog head like me needs. Best thing is I have the ability to add that pristine Tandberg 20A-SE should I ever find it.

Just what I needed for my tape decks and mini disc deck(s). Ever wanted to hook up that old or new audio device to your stereo but were out of inputs ? Well this switcher does the job and does it well. Hook it up and it's even possible to dub from one device to another while listeninng to another. What more could you ask for? (maybe remote control). thats your choice. I just wanted something to do what it was made for and this it does it well. And what better retailer then Crutch Field. Thay will always have m business. Tim
