A bass cannon

Bass makes up about 30% of your music, and it gives music its power and impact. A good subwoofer can make an average car audio system sound good, and a good car audio system sound great. Good bass is all about moving air, and a cylindrical tube translates the motion of its woofer into maximum air pressure so you hear and feel more bass. Bazooka designed the Bass Tube to act like a bass cannon, firing low frequencies throughout your vehicle.

Bass Tube efficiency

BT1014 10" Bass Tubes® enclosure

The BT1014 Bass Tube features a 10" polypropylene woofer with a twin-layer compressed foam surround for smooth excursion. The 4-layer voice coil ensures reliable power handling for plenty of punch, and its 4-ohm impedance allows you to power multiple tubes with a single amp. The tube design eliminates standing bass waves for accurate response and high efficiency. Find a good spot for a Bazooka Bass Tube in your vehicle and you'll still enjoy plenty of cargo room.

Big bass without losing space

Bass Tubes enclosures fit just about anywhere

A compact Bass Tubes enclosure will fit in almost any vehicle, and you can disconnect it in a snap if you need more cargo space. Since the tube's speaker and port are right next to each other, you can get amazing results by "corner loading" your tube — placing it in a corner of your trunk or cargo area so your vehicle's boundaries act as a natural amplifier, boosting bass production. Enclosed Subwoofers 101

An enclosed subwoofer is a box with a subwoofer already installed. The advantage to buying an enclosed sub is that the manufacturer made the sub, then designed and built the box as a perfect match, so you'll get the best possible performance. Every enclosed sub has a maximum RMS power handling rating, so pair it with an amp with a similar RMS power rating to get the best performance.

Features

Overview: The BT1014 features a water-resistant poly enclosure that houses a 10" poly woofer with a foam surround. The patented Bass Tube enclosure design eliminates bass standing waves for high accuracy, and superior efficiency.

5-Way Binding Posts: The 5-way binding posts will accept bare wire, pin connectors, spade lugs, banana plugs, and dual banana plugs.

Installation: Each mounting strap has an attached mounting base that can be secured to your vehicle using the supplied self-tapping screws. Once the mounting bases are installed, the tube is held in place by the mounting straps. For best results, the tube should be mounted facing into a corner, and there should be 2" to 4" between the woofer and the corner into which the woofer is pointing.

This is an awesome addition to my stock system. I added an older Alpine amp to power the BT1014. Placed the sub in the rear of my Suburban. Awesome sound. The sub fills in where my stereo leaves off. I can easily remove the sub if I need to carry something in the rear. I did notice that when I open any door, the bass does get louder.

Pros: Light weight for easy removal. The black finish blends in perfect with my interior. Great sound at a great price. The housing look durable! FREE SHIPPING. Even to Hawaii

Cons: Non so far.

Good sub!

I've owned 7 bazooka's over the years amped and non amped,8 inch and 10 inch and you just cant beat them for sound per dollar where space is concerned.I just got the 10 inch non-amplified to replace an 8 inch model in my 2001 Durango. The 8 was great but the 10 just hits harder and a little deeper.I'm running an inexpensive Dual amp in bridged mode and this thing pounds! As far as sheer volume is concerned this tube is as loud as most sealed enclosures with two 10's that I've heard,if not louder. In an SUV it can be heard coming down the street if thats what you want.Sound quality is good,it will hit the low tones but not with much authority.Everything above 35,000hz will satisfy most folks though. Its loud, sounds good, lightweight and still leaves lots of room in my SUV! Great buy! One note though-Everyone complains about the mounting hardware. No it isn't high end,but it is FUNCTIONAL and if you're buying a sub like this then high end quality isn't really what you're after is it?The straps do work though you may have to tighten them occasionally.Don't let this stop you from buying this fantastic bass machine!

Pros: very loud even with low power.inexpensive.good build quality.good sound quality.lightweightnone

Cons: none

Great sub for the money

Relatively small but packs plenty of punch if powered properly, sounded a little muddy and boomy at first but after about a week the sub "broke in" and the response smoothed right out. More than enough bass for my needs. I have a 2008 wrx with infinity reference components up front and Polk mm651 in the rear being driven by an alpine pdxv9 (fits under passenger seat)

This sub rocks!!!!!

This 10" sub really sounds great! I've heard 12" subs that don't sound this good!! Once you hear it you'll be glad you bought it! I have a mono 800x1 watt amp powering the sub and I turned the gain down so it sounds even better. Trust me when I say Bazooka subs are the best design in the business!

Pros: Great sound for the price! Does not take up too much trunk space.

Cons: None

Great value for it's price!

I've owned lots of car audio setups over the years. From 10's all the way up to a pair of 15's in a big ported box. Now that I'm older I was looking for a more sensible rounded overall sound in my car without taking up a bunch of space. I already had an Alpine MRP-M500 installed and pricing a single woofer paired with a generic box was just ending up too expensive. I decided to go with this product because of its track record, and was not disappointed at all. The bass seems to mesh into the sound of the rest of the system so that it's an overall richer sound. And I have my cargo area freed up again!

Pros: Solid enclosure, subtle branding with no flashy emblems. Took about 5 minutes to go from in the box to playing music. Connectors were solid and had zero issues.

Cons: When it arrived the rubber surround on the end with the speaker and port was loose. Tried to put it back on but it was slightly too large for the enclosure, easy fix though and it did not affect performance.

Great Bass And Still Have Space

Written By Paul, Houston,TX on Friday, May 14, 2010

This is a great product for anyone looking for big bass and need space for your things! I have two BT1014 in my 1996 Mustang GT I can still carry my back pack laptop bag and the baby stroller. When I go shopping there is plenty room in the trunk I got rid of the box I have and replaced it with the bazooka tubs the sound changed for the better too its lower and sounds like the bass should sound! I highly recommend this product to anyone that has little space but don`t want a box too take all your trunk space! Thanks Bazooka for a great product and state of the art design! Thanks crutchfield for great customer service and carrying great products!!!!!

I like this product

Written By Rich, Annapolis, MD on Saturday, May 17, 2008

I bought this 10" bass tube to put in the trunk of my 2008 4 door Nissan Altima. I have had many different sub set ups in the past but I bought this to save some space in my trunk and to save some space in my wallet. Alot of people bash bass tubes but if you set it up corrrectly it is a great product!

I have my sub running off a 200W bridged Profile amp (at about half gain)and a line output converter from the stock head unit. It gives lots of bass for hip hop, rock, etc...

The key is to point the port side of the tube to the trunk of the car. At first I put it sideways and it sounded terrible. Pointing the port towards the back of the car literally doubled the output of this thing.

It will not rattle your car apart or shake the person in the next car over, but it will give you more then enough bass in the car regardless of what type of music you listen too or how loud you want to listen too it.

The only reason that I gave it a 4 is because the mounting straps are terrible. I'm working on securing the tube this weekend.

I have to say that I am very pleased and would definitely buy this again.

Great for a Jeep!

Written By Keith, Upstate, NY on Saturday, October 20, 2007

I bought the bazooka tube due to lack of storage space behind my 95 Wrangler seat. I have the sub hooked up to a 4 channel amp bridged mono so the sub is getting 150w mono. I currently have mine crossed over at 80hz, which for this particular sub seems to be the magic point. I have tried setting the crossover point to 100hz but that tends to draw the front stage to the rear too much and anything lower than 80hz tends to take away from the snap of a 10

Im amazed at the performance of this sub! Its got a nice tight snap to it along with a very solid low end. Its handled anything I have thrown at so far..rock,rap,techno.

Anyone looking to save on space with maximum yield results then a bazooka tube is definately the way to go.

My only complaint is that the stock bazooka speaker can't handle very much before distorting, still booms though! can't wait to install another speaker into the tube to increase the bass response. Great product even though i bought it from scratch and dent it still looked like brand new. Recommend this tube to anyone looking for space saving bass.

I have an Alpine CDE7872 head unit Audiobahn componets in the dash, Audiobahn 6.5's in the doors and a Crunch Blackmaxx MXB4125 amp in a 1991 mustang Hatchback.I purchased the Bazooka BT1014 to give my system some bass (it had very little).I listen rock, alternative and rap music and this little sub sounds great with them all. When cranked up it will make your ears hurt and you can actually feel the bass.I would highly recommend this sub. My neighbors may not be as happy as I am but this sub makes it sound like I have a whole new system. I had an MTX box in my last car and this sub seems much clearer what a difference.

I picked this sub up to replace my Bazooka TVB-141 which was taking up a bit too much space in my hatchback. This sub sounds fantastic. I can't believe that it has less S/N ratio but still booms much louder/clearer than my other sub. The fact that it takes up less space is nice too. I highly recommend Bazooka and their entire line of subs.

More than I expected

Written By Hook, Tampa, FL on Sunday, August 28, 2005

I bought this sub after i decided the 8 inch was not enough. I am by all means no expert, but this thing hit surprisingly hard. Even the guys at the stereo install shop were amazed. It doesnt distort and it sounds great. If you dont want a huge box in your car or truck, and dont wanna drill, etc. this would be a great, relatively inexpensive choice
