Bass makes up about 30% of your music, and it gives music its power and impact. A good subwoofer can make an average car audio system sound good, and a good car audio system sound great. Good bass is all about moving air, and a cylindrical tube translates the motion of its woofer into maximum air pressure so you hear and feel more bass. Bazooka designed the Bass Tube to act like a bass cannon, firing low frequencies throughout your vehicle.
The BT6028DVC Bass Tube features a 6-1/2" polypropylene woofer with a twin-layer compressed foam surround for smooth excursion. The dual 8-ohm voice coils promote high power handling, and each voice coil has its own set of input terminals to give you maximum hook-up flexibility. The tube design eliminates standing bass waves for accurate response and high efficiency. Find a good spot for a Bazooka Bass Tube in your vehicle and you'll still enjoy plenty of cargo room.
A compact Bass Tubes enclosure will fit in almost any vehicle, and you can disconnect it in a snap if you need more cargo space. Since the tube's speaker and port are right next to each other, you can get amazing results by "corner loading" your tube — placing it in a corner of your trunk or cargo area so your vehicle's boundaries act as a natural amplifier, boosting bass production. An enclosed subwoofer is a box with a subwoofer already installed. The advantage to buying an enclosed sub is that the manufacturer made the sub, then designed and built the box as a perfect match, so you'll get the best possible performance. Every enclosed sub has a maximum RMS power handling rating, so pair it with an amp with a similar RMS power rating to get the best performance.
This is my 3rd Bazooka tube. I have a 10'' 8'' and 6''. They all work great and fit great.
I drive a 2001 ford ranger. There's almost no room behind the seat. I'm only 5'9" and I enjoy having the seats almost completely back. This sub fits perfectly with a little room to spare. Also, the bass is good! It puts out tight, accurate bass that even sounds good while listening to rap and jazz. I have my amp bridged and I am pushing this thing around 280 RMS. It has been performing well so far!
Pros: Size, power handling, virtually invisible when installed
Cons: Don't know of any
very happy with this unit
I THOUGHT IS WAS VERY EASY TO INSTALL!! AND THE SOUND IS AMAZING. WOULD DEFINETLY RECOMMEND THIS ITEM.
Just plugged into my existing amp for the door speakers.. install took less than 5 mins.
Pros: Sounds great, fit perfect under the back seat in my silverado, doesn't take up any space. WIN WIN WIN.
Cons: It doesn't hit like a bigger sub but nice complement for the system
Absolutely Amazing. My first sub was a 8" bazooka w/ the 100watt built in. I was skeptical, but since i have a 2008 Single Cab silverado, i was very very skeptical, but was in a crunch for space.
Pros: Compact, Power Handling, Ability to buy different ohm'ed subs to work with your amplifier. Hits the low notes, and defiantely sounds like a 10.
Cons: I mean, we all know Bazooka tubes do not look the coolest, but they sure do their job
I was sceptical on buying such a small speaker for a sub and was considering
the extra $$ for the 8". But, this little 6 1/2 is perfect. It sounds amazing for its
size. It is very full and clear, and even hits those low notes. I got the dual 8 ohm
instead of dual 4 ohm because I already had an Alpine MRP-M500 and at
4ohms it puts out 300 watts rms which is perfect for this sub since it is rated at
300 watts rms. I would say it puts out as much clear bass as two 10's would.
But take into consideration that I have this sub in my small hatch back Chrysler
Conquest TSi, so if you have a bigger application you may have different

Overview: The BT6028DVC features a water-resistant poly enclosure that houses a 6-1/2" poly woofer with a foam surround. The patented Bass Tube enclosure design eliminates bass standing waves for high accuracy, and superior efficiency.
Dual 8-ohm Voice Coils: This tube features dual 8-ohm voice coils that offer flexibility in wiring. When the voice coils are wired in parallel with each other, the tube presents a 4-ohm mono load. When the voice coils are wired in series with each other, the tube presents an 16-ohm mono load. In addition, each coil may be connected to a different amplifier channel and each channel will see a 8-ohm load. Each coil can handle 150 watts RMS, so the combined power handling is 300 watts RMS.
5-Way Binding Posts: The 5-way binding posts will accept bare wire, pin connectors, spade lugs, banana plugs, and dual banana plugs.
Installation: Each mounting strap has an attached mounting base that can be secured to your vehicle using the supplied self-tapping screws. Once the mounting bases are installed, the tube is held in place by the mounting straps. For best results, the tube should be mounted facing into a corner, and there should be 2" to 4" between the woofer and the corner into which the woofer is pointing.

Hello Jared, Bazooka tubes come with braces and straps to mount them, so all you will need is speaker wire (16 gauge or larger) to connect the tube to a seperate amplifier, since this model is passive. Bazooka tubes have 5-way speaker posts, so they accept bare speaker wire but will also accept banana plugs if you prefer to use those on the speaker wire to allow you connect and disconnect the speaker wire more quickly and easily. The amplifier you use should have a low-pass crossover to allow you to send only bass frequencies to the Bazooka tube. If it doesn't, most aftermarket receivers have a low-pass crossover that can be enabled on the subwoofer output. If neither the amp or receiver have a low-pass crossover, then you'll need to place either an active low-pass crossover before the amplifier or a passive one after the amp. If you don't already have an amplifier, Bazooka also offers powered bass tubes, which require, firstly, an amplifer installation kit for the amplifier in the bass tube and, secondly, speaker wire to connect the amplier in the tube to the speaker outputs of a factory or aftermarket receiver or RCA cables to connect the amplifier in the tube to the subwoofer output of an aftermarket receiver. I hope this helps! [ ERIN Mar 19, 2015 ]
if you get the amplifier installation kit that's all you would actually needs to finish hooking it up and it is one heck of a good subwoofer [ MICHAEL Mar 19, 2015 ]
I never got mine to work [ GABE Mar 19, 2015 ]

No, it compliments my factory stereo in my 2007 Lexus lx470. Everything sounds clean and clear! [ DEAN Mar 23, 2014 ]
Unfortunately I returned this because I found something else that fit my space better. However, I believe it is not a powered sub so it is driven by an external amp. That amp needs power from the battery, but the tube is just hooked to speaker wires coming from the amp. [ ROBERT Mar 20, 2014 ]
No. Only speaker wires to your amp. This sub is not powered. I bridged my amp and wired the voice coils together. [ BRIAN Mar 20, 2014 ]
No this is the passive model . only has spkr connections [ DAN Mar 20, 2014 ]
