To produce bass, you need a sub, an enclosure, and an amplifier, and it can be little tricky to match them all up. A powered sub eliminates all the hassle, as the manufacturer designs the enclosure to house the sub and amp together. This all-in-one solution is especially useful in smaller vehicles, where there's no room to mount a separate amp, or in any vehicle where you need every bit of cargo space. Powered subs range from small, flat boxes that fit under your seat to larger boxes that go in your trunk. Get a lot of bass without a lot of hassle. Bazooka's BTA10200 10" amplified bass tube lets you add ride-filling low tones to your system, whether you drive your own vehicle or a leased car. Thrill to the power of Bazooka bass without the elbow grease of a major installation job. The BTA10200 bass tube comes with a 10" woofer, a built-in MOSFET amp (200 watts RMS), and an installation kit which includes a power/signal harness, 15 amp fuse with holder, power rings, and mounting hardware. The variable low-pass filter (60-250 Hz at 18 dB/octave) allows you to tune the bass output to your vehicle's sound system. Features Controls Connections Installation Features Overview: The BTA10200 features a water-resistant poly enclosure that houses a 10" poly woofer with a foam surround. The woofer is powered by a built-in 200-watt amplifier. The patented Bass Tube enclosure design eliminates bass standing waves for high accuracy, and superior efficiency. Low-pass Filter: The BTA10200 has a low-pass filter that can be adjusted from 60 to 250 Hz. Subsonic Filter: The subsonic filter, set at 35Hz, prevents really low frequencies from being amplified. This allows the amplifier to run more efficiently with increased power output. Remote Level/Crossover Control: Using an optional remote control, you can control the bass output level and crossover frequency of the subwoofer from a remote location. Balanced Input Circuitry: Balanced low-level and balanced high-level input circuitry is used for improved noise reduction. Controls Back Panel: Level Control: rotary control that allows you to adjust the level of the subwoofer Crossover Control: rotary control that allows you to adjust the low-pass filter from 60 to 250 Hz Power LED: if power, ground and remote are connected properly, the LED will illuminate in green Connections Back Panel: Remote Control: phone-type jack for use with an optional remote control Power Harness: two quick-slides for use with supplied power harness Signal Harness: 14-pin Molex plug for use with supplied signal harness Installation Installation: Each mounting strap has an attached mounting base that can be secured to your vehicle using the supplied self-tapping screws. Once the mounting bases are installed, the tube is held in place by the mounting straps. For best results, the tube should be mounted facing into a corner, and there should be 2" to 4" between the woofer and the corner into which the woofer is pointing. Required Accessories: Power Wire: the 12-gauge power lead is only 11" long, so additional wire is required to extend it to the battery. Written By Chad, hayden, ID on Wednesday, August 06, 2008 Great bass package for the price, espically in a suv. The only reason I won't give it 5 stars is due to the range of adjustability in the crossover department. It takes a while to get dialed just right, but once you do it'll handle any type of music you can throw at it. I have always liked the SAS product. The quality is excellent and as with the other tubes i have owned, i know it will last a lifetime. You won't be dissapointed. 1 out of 1 people found this helpful Was this review helpful? Written By patrick, Dothan, AL on Friday, January 06, 2006 I just installed this 200 watt 10" bazooka tube in my 2001 nissan Xterra and wow am i impressed. The install was relatively easy if you have some basic knowledge about audio systems. run a few wires and your ready to go. first of all let me say this thing really bumps after a little adjusting. it fills the entire car with bass you can feel BUT!!!! let me stress that this sub is not made to blow out the windows of the houses you drive by. if you want the car next to you to feel your tunes this sub is not for you. what it does do though is give you great in car bass. it is a great addition to a factory system that cant handle the low notes of most music. overall, because of ease of installation, portability, and quality bass. i would definatly recommend it. 33 out of 35 people found this helpful Was this review helpful? I got many mixed reviews about bass tubes but I decided to go with the BTA10200 for a few reasons. One reason being ease of removal. Since I my seats fold down and I do the occasional Home Depot lumber run, I wanted to be able to remove the equipment with ease. Another reason was more for aesthetics meaning I think a bass tube looks better than the conventional boxed sub. I chose this model specifically because it was the top of the line of its kind. It has the limits I was looking for, 200 watt powered, 10" speaker, plenty of mounting and operational features. After a few months of running this setup along with my Kenwood head unit, Kenwood EQ, a 4 channel 85x4 RMS amp, and a slew of speakers, the BTA10200 really stands up. It took me some time to perfect the sound but once I did I could throw all different types of music. This is not for someone looking to show off their music, yet for someone looking to fully round out their sound with a wall of bass. 23 out of 26 people found this helpful Was this review helpful? Written By TonyZ, San Diego, CA on Tuesday, June 21, 2005 It's a great product if you don't have the money for a custom box w/sub & amp, but the unfortunate thing about a tube like this is the amount of resonation you hear from it, even after strapping it to the floor. Before: Alpine CDA9853, Alpine MRPF240 amp, 4 Infinity Reference 5x7's, and one PASSIVE 8" bazooka tube. All 5 speakers were connected to the amp, sounded great, just not enough mmph (I turned the volume all the way up on about half my CD's).After: I removed the PASSIVE sub, installed this BTA10200, and even though it's louder overall (only 4 speakers attached to the MRPF240 amp), the bass sound is extremely difficult to get to sound right with the X-over settings on the tuner. 18 out of 19 people found this helpful Was this review helpful?
