Kicker's 09ZCK44 amplifier power wiring kit supplies everything you'll need to send power and signal to your amplifier and speakers. The 16.4-foot 4-channel RCA patch cable uses twisted pair construction to keep the noise out of the signal going from your car stereo to your amp. Kicker includes 60 feet of fresh 16-gauge speaker wire so you can be sure your speakers are getting the best possible signal from your amp.

nice quality wiring kit. only gripe is the ground cable could be longer.

So easy! ( First timer )

Anonymous from Newport News va on 3/23/2014

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

This product helped so much! If I didn't have this kit I would have been stuck for days. Only a few things it should come with.... Extra crimp heads just in case you break a few or don't get a good connection. A medal interior tool cause mine broke, a crimp tool would help to cause not everyone owns one, and maybe an instruction manual for first timers. Other then that it still gets five stars.

Pros: Easy to install ( if you know what you're doing ), and comes with plenty of speaker cable.

Cons: Doesn't come with instructions, a crimper tool ( just go buy one and return it later ), and there isn't any extra wire connector ( crimp style ) so don't mess up or just go buy some more. Also the interior tool is a hard plastic. Mine broke so be gental.

Nice addition

Customer Q&A

1 question already asked

I DID NOT INSTALL MY AMP KIT THIS IS A CUSTON 1968 CAMARO BEING PUT TOGETTER FOR ME SORRY I COUNT'N HELP YOU....... [ PAUL  Feb 01, 2014 ]
I did. Its really not that bad and the ends are covered in the fuse holder. I ended up using the small zip ties to keep it from pulling away where it was cut. I agree. Seems nuts the way it was made. Hope that helps. [ ALEXANDER  Jan 31, 2014 ]
I had mine professionally done and that's what they did. I feel that's the only way to do it. [ AARON  Jan 31, 2014 ]
It doesn't really matter which end is where as long as the fuse is as close to the battery as possible. I myself cut the end with the protective sleeve so I had the protective sleeve on both sides of the fuse [ ROBERT C  Jan 31, 2014 ]
Actually, I called Kicker. Their explanation was a good one. About 12-16" from the battery end of the power wire, you will find 2 shrink wrap pieces already "heated" to the protective loom (sleeve). There will be about 1.5 to 2 inches between them. There is also a yellow sticker between the 2 heat shrink pieces warning that the fuse must be placed within 18" of the battery. Simply cut the power wire in half right in the middle of those 2 pre-shrunk heat shrinks. Then, strip the wire loom and sheathing off the wire back to the heat shrinks. Place the 2 stripped ends of the power wire into the inline fuse holder. The stripped wire will go all the way into the fuse holder until the heat shrink pieces touch the fuse holder. Tighten the retaining bolts of the fuse holder down. What you're left with is a VERY professional looking power wire with an inline fuse holder built in - with the heat shrink right next to the fuse holder as if you put it there yourself. :) Really looks good. I'm really impressed with Kicker. They've got some well thought out, quality stuff! [ 9Awesomeb  Jan 31, 2014 ]
I cut mine within the 18 inches. I was more concerned with having the in-line fuse close to the battery than the look of the cable. I LOVE the amp. [ RICHARD W  Jan 31, 2014 ]
No matter how nice the wiring kit you always want to have an inline fuse within 3 feet of the battery. While I have seen people skip the fuse all together, if something shorts out, it's much cheaper to replace a fuse or 2 rather than a new amp. I have a fuse by the battery as well as before the amp, call me paranoid, however those are cheap fixes. [ DOYLE  Jan 31, 2014 ]
I took a razor blade and cut the protective sleeve and slid it back and installed the fuse. The sleeve frays a little but mine is still holding together just fine. The kit is worth the money that's for sure. [ RYAN  Jan 31, 2014 ]
I did cut the wire close to the fuse holder. 8 inches. I got some heavy duty shrink tube and place it after cutting and removing the necessary insulation to instal the fuse holder. with a sharp blade cut the protective mesh, then the insulation and finally the wire. Then cut two 3 inch shrink tube and place over the the wire and the mesh. This will make the wire look perfect again. [ OSCAR  Jan 31, 2014 ]
