Solo-Baric performance in a round sub

Kicker's CompVX subwoofers bring the class-leading design elements found in Kicker's Solo-Baric® L7 square subs to those who prefer the look of a circular sub in their vehicles. The 10CVX124 12" sub sports dual 4-ohm voice coils for maximum versatility and sounds great in sealed or vented applications.

One-piece SoloKon™ cone

Unique 360-degree back bracing and a ribbed Santoprene® surround keep the sub's one-piece SoloKon™ cone from flexing, so your bass stays accurate when the beats get loud. And Kicker understands the heat that can be generated during heavy, so they use high-temp dual voice coils and a high-mass, solid pole piece that'll stand up to the abuse.

The CompVX also features a non-resonant cast-aluminum basket that adds no coloration to your bass. Kicker caps off this unique sub with smart design features like perimeter venting that cools the sub's motor structure and spring-loaded terminals that can accept up to 10-gauge wire.

To drive this single subwoofer, we recommend a mono amplifier rated between 575 and 1125 watts RMS at 2 ohms. For more information, please refer to our article on How to Match Subwoofers and Amplifiers.

This Kicker CVX POUNDS!... I have it matched with a Kicker ZX 750 amp. Had the Alpine Type R, which was nice but the kicker should be in a league of its own!... Clean, DEEP, hard hitting bass!!

You should look for an amp that outputs anywhere from 300-600 watts RMS at 2 ohms. Feel free to call an advisor on 1-800-324-9695 for a personal recommendation on an amp. My Bio: http://www.crutchfield.com/Support/Bio.aspx?bio=101 [ Paul  May 23, 2016 ]  Staff
I forwarded your question to an Advisor and they responded with the following: You need to get as close to 750-watts that you can. Usually the minimum for a subwoofer with that top-end RMS wattage starts around 150-watts RMS. I do recommend getting as close to 750-watts that you can in order to preserve the subwoofer. If you would like to discuss further you can contact an Advisor directly by phone (1-800-324-9695) or online chat. [ Krissy  Jul 21, 2014 ]  Staff
