Kicker technology at work
Each Comp sub features a flex-resistant polypropylene cone with 360-degree back bracing for hard-hitting lows without distortion. The ribbed foam surround offers long excursion and keeps the cone on target, while double stitching ensures your investment won't come apart at the seams. A tough steel basket provides a reliable foundation for big bass, while extensive venting ensures long-lasting performance that won't break down when the bass gets heavy.

8-ohm impedance for multi-sub setups
Kicker's 10C108 10" subwoofer handles 150 watts RMS to bring out the depth your music's been missing, and its 8-ohm impedance makes it a great candidate for a multi-sub system. This versatile sub works well in sealed or ported enclosures, and it's even suitable for free-air applications.

I bought (2) of these to replace my busted subs and boy do these things pound... It only took 1 day to ship too! I've got my headunit at 0DB bass and the car shakes! It increased my bass by 4x the original amount, it's very clean and tight punch and overall worth the money. If you're looking for a low budget but amazing sound i would highly suggest you buy these. They are easy to install and took less than 10 mins to screw in, I've got them bridged @ 4oHms for the hardest punch my amp offers and the safest impedance rating. I would like to thank every representative that helped me and a big shout of to Sparky, Keith and Steven for helping me choose the proper subwoofer.

Pros: Fairly inexpensive Insanely loud Clean and crisp bass Easy to install And well worth the money buy these subs!!!

Cons: ABSOLUTELY NONE

Getting the most out of my low-wattage T-Line

I've already bought & used two Kicker Comp 8's so I knew what to expect. No surprises on the quality. I have this large T-Line enclosure I originally built around a 4 Ohm DVC 10" driver that was 600 Watts RMS. After building the enclosure I noticed a crack in that driver's cone from it's previous punishment in my car. This T-Line is mated to a low-wattage 2.1 amp anyway so when looking for replacement driver this one matched cutout, depth and was pretty close on FS (Free-Air resonance Hz). And as I guess being a lower wattage rated sub it works better with this amp./setup. And I just love the spring loaded terminals!

Pros: Inexpensive, Good Xmax, Shallow-ish Depth, Spring Loaded Push Terminals, Foam Rubber Mounting Gaskets that it laminated to the basket's lip.

I bought these 10" subs. The packaging from Crutchfield was great. Did not take long to arrive my home. Mounted them in a sealed sound speaker box that goes under my truck's rear seat. They sound great with plenty of low bass sound with no distortion. Love them. I can hear and feel the quality from these subs.

Pros: Great quality, awesome sound, great value. 8 ohm.

Cons: None.

Product delivered the sound I was looking for. I wanted a deeper more powerful bass and these speakers deliver that. I purchased them as replacement speakers that had deteriorated and defoamed on me. It had a good Xmax factor..Very happy with my speakers

Pros: Solid speakers, Better than most Xmax factor, Strong bass sound, meets my sub-woofer needs

Cons: Slightly larger than the opening in my existing Infinity Speaker cabinet. Nothing else of significance

Well today I'm getting my new Kicker 10" Subwoofers! What I'm doing getting my stuff together to do my system! I have had Kicker before so this is not new for me to have Kicker they are the best! I got the 8 ohms Subwoofer and after I wire them together it will 2 ohms load to the amp so forever one I'm taking my time to build a nice system that is going to ROCK and having fun doing it thanks Crutchfield for a great deal that you have going on right now buy one and get one free that is so cool!

Subwoofer Features
Enclosure Compatibility

Subwoofer Features

Polypropylene Cone: The Kicker Comp subwoofer's super-rigid injection-molded polypropylene cone features 360-degree back bracing to completely eliminate flex and distortion.

Ribbed Foam Surround: The optimized ribbed foam surround allows extended cone excursion for additional bass output and higher SPL. The surround is double-stitched to the cone to add a mechanical fastener to the chemical adhesives. This prevents the cone and surround from separating in the harshest conditions.

Spiralead Tinsel Leads: The Kicker Comp subwoofer features durable Spiralead tinsel leads, which are woven into the woofer's progressive-roll polycotton spider, for added strength and reliability.

Steel Basket with Vented Pole Piece: The Kicker Comp subwoofer features a resilient, steel basket with coil-cooling perimeter venting and a vented pole piece for heat dissipation, so the high-temperature voice coil stays cool.

Speaker Terminals: The spring-loaded, nickel-plated terminals provide solid connections for speaker wire up to 10-gauge. Single banana plugs and pin connectors will also fit.

Rubber Magnet Boot: A black rubber boot covers the outside edge of the magnet structure to improve the cosmetics of the woofer and protect the magnet during installation.

Enclosure Compatibility

Enclosure Versatility: The Kicker Comp subwoofer is versatile, performing in vented or sealed enclosures, and in free-air applications as well.

Sealed Enclosure Applications: A sealed enclosure design gives the smoothest response with increased energy at the lowest frequency between 20 to 30 Hz.

  • Compact (minimum enclosure volume): 1.0 cu/ft
  • SQ (maximum enclosure volume): 2.4 cu/ft

Recommended Vented Box Volume: A vented enclosure design is the choice for loud, high-performance bass for SPL contests.

  • Compact: 1.25 cu/ft with a 1.5" x 10.5" slot port opening that is 14.5" in depth
  • SQ: 1.75 cu/ft with a 1.5" x 10.5" slot port opening that is 13.25" in depth

Note: The SQ enclosures generates a flatter response curve and extends sub-bass response.

Infinite Baffle Mounting: The Kicker Comp subwoofer does not require a sealed or vented enclosure for good bass performance. The Comp subwoofer is designed to also be used as a free-air driver. The infinite baffle mounting method effectively utilizes the rear deck and trunk space of most sedan type vehicles.
