A match made in heaven...or Oklahoma

Kicker's 10TC104 loaded enclosure puts a thumping 10" subwoofer behind the seat of a truck or in any vehicle that's low on space. The rugged ported box was designed specifically for the subwoofer, so you can count on getting maximum performance, no matter what kind of tunes you enjoy.

Hard-hitting Comp sub

The 10" Comp sub features a stiff injection-molded polymineral cone supported by a double-stitched ribbed foam surround for deep excursion. Kicker's back-braced cone design keeps the woofer stable during those hard hits, while the perimeter venting system helps cool the sub's internal parts during demanding performances. A strong steel basket provides a stable foundation that won't flex during hard use.

Heavy-duty enclosure

Sturdy 3/4" medium-density fiberboard ensures long-lasting performance from the enclosure, and the special-design side port delivers more bass without getting sloppy. The enclosure's 4-ohm impedance allows compatibility with a wide range of amplifiers.

I love this subwoofer. Placed behind my rear seat after the removal of the plastic pieces. It sounds awesome. I wasn't so sure about the ported box at first but it sounds great.

I'm not a bass nut but just wanted something that sounded better than factory so I can really enjoy my music. This bad boy thumps using a S/O 350 power amp. I highly recommend it.

Have bought 2 of these for 2 different vehicles and couldn't be happier.

Pros: Great little 10 in a box for a great price. Rattled my extended cab Dakota better than the MTX comp 10. All day long

Cons: Wish it sounded better in my jeep grand Cherokee. But that's why they make 12's!!

I have had these sbs in my truck for 6 years now and they are still going strong. I have never had any problems with them and they are perfect for putting behind your seats in a small truck that can't fit a normal sub.

Pros: Great buy, reliable, good sound

Cons: Could make another verson that can handle more power for those that want to take a step up from these

My freind bought this used from another freind for 60 bucks and so we hooked it up in his Pontiac fiero. It took us a little while to get it figured out but when we did it hit way harder than we were expecting. It shook the car a little bit but not too much and the sound quality was good unless you have it too loud. In my opinion it is worth the money for sure

Pros: Well worth the money, punchy bass

Cons: None at all

For the harding hitting songs this may not be the best choice but for 90% of all other songs it is great. My only complaint is the diagram shows this sub sitting behind my seat but my 01 Silverado back seat only folds up NOT down. Didn't realize that until it was too late. Otherwise a great sub for the price.

Pros: Really good sub

Cons: non that I can think of

Features

Speaker Terminals: The spring post terminals are mounted on the left side of the enclosure and will accept pin connectors, single or dual banana plugs, or bare wire up to 10 gauge.

Woofers: The Kicker 40TC104 enclosure uses one 4Ω, 10" Comp subwoofer.

  • Ribbed Surround: The optimized ribbed foam surround allows extended cone excursion for additional bass output and higher SPL. The surround is double-stitched to the cone to add a mechanical fastener to the chemical adhesives; this prevents the cone and surround from separating in the harshest conditions.
  • Spiralead Tinsel Leads: The durable Spiralead tinsel leads are woven into the woofer's spider, for added strength and reliability.
  • Vented Pole Piece: The steel basket's vented pole piece and Kicker's perimeter venting slots contribute to the woofers' efficient cooling and durability.

Break-in Period: Due to the complex nature of Kicker Comp speakers, they require a break-in period in order to produce optimum bass response. The suspension system is very stiff out-of-the-box. Approximately two weeks of daily playing will allow the suspension to break-in and reach its optimum equilibrium. Once broken-in, the subwoofer will exhibit stronger bass performance, smoother response, and greater bass extension.

Blake, i bought this for a very similar reason. I did not want the trunk rattle or to let everyone know i had a sub in my car from two blocks over. I have a 97 honda civic two door HX and this provides ample bass running off a Sound Ordnance M1350 350W x 1 at 2 Ohms Car Amplifier. I believe it would be a good purchase if you are not looking for super bass but does Kick if you ask it to. Hope this helps Cheers [ JEFF  Aug 22, 2014 ]
