Add bass to tight spaces

Do you want to add some bass to your ride without losing storage space? Take a look at the Kicker 11PT10CA powered subwoofer — its heavy-duty enclosure is slim enough to fit in many locations and powerful enough to help fill in the low end of your sound system.

Kicker's 11PT10CA powered sub offers extensive controls for tailoring your bass.

A perfect match

It can be tough matching subs, amps, and enclosures together. Kicker's taken the guesswork out of the process by matching a 100-watt RMS amplifier with a 10" subwoofer, and housing them together in a rugged, compact box. This way, you won't have to waste time juggling specs — just focus on enjoying your bass. You can adjust the low-pass crossover, bass boost, and phase switch to make sure you're getting maximum low-frequency punch in your vehicle.

Out in a jiffy

A quick-connect power harness and removable straps make it easy to pull this sub out of your vehicle, so you can get some storage space back in a pinch. The enclosure is only 7-3/8" deep so it'll fit in a variety of spaces, while the carpet covering will protect the enclosure and your vehicle against scratches and dents.

Important note: The input harness for this powered enclosure does not include RCA connectors. If you wish to hook your 11PT10CA via RCA connections, you'll need to get the KISL adapter as well.

Who needs a powered subwoofer?

To produce bass, you need a sub, an enclosure, and an amplifier, and it can be little tricky to match them all up. A powered sub eliminates all the hassle, as the manufacturer designs the enclosure to house the sub and amp together. This all-in-one solution is especially useful in smaller vehicles, where there's no room to mount a separate amp, or in any vehicle where you need every bit of cargo space. Powered subs range from small, flat boxes that fit under your seat to larger boxes that go in your trunk.

If you are looking for a low cost "bump" to your system, this is it. You won't find a better powered sub for your money. Almost fits completely under rear bench seat in my 1991 Silverado extra-cab.

This sub is exactly what I was looking for. I have Kicker speakers in the front door, and rear deck powered by the Clarion compact amp. They sounded good, but really can't produce much bass. This sub balanced the system perfectly. The other reviews are right that it will not shake the ground. It will produce nice tight, solid bass . Real bass. It allows the small speakers to play just mids and highs, which they do a great job of. When I was a teenager I wanted to be heard from blocks away. Now that I'm a 40 something, I just want clean, clear sound. Very happy with this sub and would recommend it if you want to add bottom end to a system like mine.

Pros: Great sound. Does not take up much space, Easy to remove if you need to.

Cons: Does not have RCA input. You must get the Kicker adapter plug if you want to connect it with RCA's.

The thump was there

The product is Kicker so you expect long throwing bass. Not out of this sub. Tight and moderate. Didn't know who to call if i even got the right product.

Pros: Still rocks you but only with minimal wattage. Durable, dependable

Cons: Dont expect hard core pounding its not there

I read all the reviews and decided to give thus thing a shot. I wasn't looking to shake the ground or tick off the neighbors, but i wanted to have as much bass as the 10" Bazooka i was replacing. This sub is ok for mids but even my wife was disappointed with the level of bass from this set up. It did fill some of the emptiness between the other factory speakers. When people say it doesn't shake the ground they weren't kidding. really disappointed with this kicker product. feel like it's under powered

Pros: small, inexpensive

Cons: no bass to speak of.

Product Research

Amplifier: The power output from the built-in class-D amplifier is 90 watts RMS @ 14.4 volts with no more than 1% THD (100 watts RMS @ 14.4 volts and 10% THD).

Signal Input: The signal input wires on the included harness can be used with a speaker level or line level signal. Standard speaker wire is used in the harness, so an RCA to speaker wire adapter is needed when using a line level signal (item number 206KiSL, sold separately).

Low Pass Crossover: The amplifier's low pass crossover point is continuously variable from 50 to 120 Hz; the crossover slope is 12 dB per octave.

Subsonic Filter: In addition to the low pass crossover, the PT10 features a 24 dB/octave subsonic filter fixed at 25 Hz. Ultra-low frequencies that cannot be reproduced by a subwoofer do not become sound, but unnecessary oscillations that cause distortion. These frequencies also waste amplifier power and can damage the speaker. The built-in subsonic filter removes the frequencies below 25 Hz to improve the sound quality by eliminating harmful distortion.

Bass Boost: The bass boost circuit provides a variable (0-6 dB) signal boost centered at 40 Hz.

Status Indicator Light: There is a status indicator LED on the control panel on the left side of the enclosure; it lights green to indicate that the amplifier is turned on and operating normally and lights Red to indicate the amplifier's protection circuitry has been activated.

Remote Bass Level Control: The included remote bass level control lets you adjust the output level of the amplifier from anywhere in the vehicle. A 20' cable is included and when it's plugged in, the gain control on the side of the enclosure is bypassed. The remote bass level control can be mounted under the dash with the included mounting hardware and has the following dimensions:

  • Width: 2.5"
  • Height: 1.2"
  • Depth: 1.75" (3.1" including the knob and cable)

Controls: All the PT10's controls and connections are located on the left side:

  • Auto Turn-On: two position switch; choose +12V (amp turns on when +12 volts is applied to the remote turn-on wire) or DC Offset (amp turns on when a 6 volt surge is detected from a speaker-level source on the signal inputs)
  • Input Level: two position switch; choose Hi when using a speaker level input, Lo when using a line level input
  • Phase: two position switch, the sub's phase can be easily inverted; 0° or 180°
  • Gain: rotary knob; continuously variable from 125mV to 5V when the Input Level switch is set to Lo, 250mV-10V when the Input Level switch is set to Hi
  • X-Over Frequency: rotary knob; set the low pass x-over point; continuously variable from 50 Hz to 120 Hz
  • Bass Boost: rotary knob; continuously variable from 0 to +6 dB

  • Remote Bass: 3.5mm mini-jack for use with the included remote bass level control
  • Fuse: a single 7.5 amp ATO style fuse protects the amplifier
  • Wiring Input: Molex plug for use with the included power/ground/remote turn-on/signal input harness; the wire length varies by function:
    • Ground: 2'
    • Signal Input: 8'
    • Power: 17'
    • Remote Turn-on: 2'

Customer Q&A

I just need to to know the setting of amps?? [ Umermeer  Mar 13, 2015 ]
We had one installed under the back passenger seat and added another on the other side. Before our son even comes down the driveway, we look at each other and say "thumper is home"...does that tell you how much bass there is? [ renee  Mar 13, 2015 ]
Thanks for your question. For information on selecting the best receiver for your subs I would recommend reaching out to an Advisor by phone (1-800-324-9695) or online chat.
