Hard-hitting Comp subs
The dual Comp 12" subs feature stiff injection-molded polymineral cones and double-stitched ribbed foam surrounds for deep excursion. Kicker's back-braced cone design keeps each woofer rigid and stable during those hard hits, while the perimeter venting system helps cool the sub's internal parts during demanding performances. A strong steel basket provides a stable foundation that won't flex during hard use.

Heavy-duty enclosure
Sturdy 3/4" medium-density fiberboard ensures long-lasting performance from the enclosure, and the generous side port provides more boom for your buck. You'll get hassle-free connection to your amp with the single set of speaker terminals, while the 2-ohm overall impedance draws maximum power from your mono amplifier.

Features

Overview: The Kicker 10DC122 Dual Subwoofer Enclosure combines two 12" Kicker Competition subwoofers with a computer-modeled and human fine-tuned vented enclosure to offer a high-level of bass performance. The Kicker Dual Subwoofer Enclosure is designed for use in SUV and sedan type vehicles.

Vented Enclosure: The vented enclosure has been computer modeled and human fine-tuned for perfectly matched bass performance. The vented enclosure features a 6.75" side firing port. At some frequencies most of the bass is output from the vent, so it needs at least 4" of clearance to ensure adequate air flow. The vented enclosure uses spring loaded, nickel-plated terminals which provide solid connection for speaker wire up to 8 gauge. Single banana plugs and pin connectors will also fit. The terminals are on the left side of the enclosure, beside the port. The vented enclosure's outer exterior is lined with rich, thick carpeting in charcoal gray and a carbon-fiberl front baffle. The vented enclosure comes supplied with four mounting brackets and the necessary hardware to secure the subwoofer box in your vehicle.

Dual 12" Comp Woofers: The Kicker 10DC122 Dual Subwoofer Vented Enclosure features two pre-loaded Kicker Competition 12-inch, 4-ohm subwoofers (10C124) wired in parallel for a 2-ohm load at the enclosure's speaker terminal.

Polypropylene Cone: The Kicker Comp subwoofer's super-rigid injection-molded polypropylene cone features 360-degree back bracing to completely eliminate flex and distortion.
Ribbed Foam Surround: The optimized ribbed foam surround allows extended cone excursion for additional bass output and higher SPL. The surround is double-stitched to the cone to add a mechanical fastener to the chemical adhesives. This prevents the cone and surround from separating in the harshest conditions.
Spiralead Tinsel Leads: The Kicker Comp subwoofer features durable Spiralead tinsel leads, which are woven into the woofer's progressive-roll polycotton spider, for added strength and reliability.
Steel Basket with Vented Pole Piece: The Kicker Comp subwoofer features a resilient, steel basket with coil-cooling perimeter venting and a vented pole piece for heat dissipation, so the high-temperature voice coil stays cool.

fast powerfull bass

i have this sub in my honda crv it is the best sub i ever owned . At 99 db at 2 ohms you
dont need a big amp .It hits hard and very fast for 12 inch woofers

Amazing Sub for the Price

Overall, the sub looks and sounds great. For the price it is it sounds good and hits hard. I would recommend this to anyone, especially if this would be their first system. Just be sure to put at least 500 watts on this sub, if not 750. I have seen the sub take 1000 watts without a problem. And although 250 will move the sub, I would strongly recommend to go with at least 500 watts.

Pros:

First, the subwoofer is very good for the price range. I was amazed at the low tones it could hit, it couldn't hit all of them but most. It is also a lot more loud on just 250 watts than I expected, my Honda CRV shakes every time it hits.

Cons:

The first subwoofer I got came with the right subwoofer busted and I had to send it back, but another was quickly sent to me. The bass is a bit muddy but it was expected.

Amazing Bass

I first heard this sub in the store and the bass was so good it gave my goose bumps. When I first installed it in the car (a large SUV), the sound was somewhat muddy - not at all what I expected. I eventually figured out I needed to really fine tune the bass using the extensive controls available with my head unit to properly integrate the bass with my components speakers and the car interior. Setting the crossovers much lower than I had with a previous dual-8" sub made a dramatic improvement. Now the sound is simply amazing and I can't wait to get in the car to listen to music. I find myself working my way through music I haven't listened to in years and appreciating nuances in the music I've never noticed before. Having a sub enclosure designed by the same engineers who designed the sub seems to make a big difference. This is a great sounding, very efficient sub that can also really slam if you want it to.

Pros:

Amazing sound quality. Great looks. High efficiency. Reasonably priced.

Cons:

Large size (although reasonable for dual-12" subs.) Overpowering unless properly tuned. Low impedance might be difficult for some amps to handle.
